Will this ok for lighting????

Got a new grow box 4ft x 2ft x4ft one half for vegging other flowering.this is what I came up with for lights

vegging side 10- 75watt cfls 6500K

flowering side 6- 100watts cfl 2700k
4- 60watt cfl 2700K

Regardless of weather its 'equivilent watts,' u've got the color temps right on the bulbs for flowering and veg, if anything u can always add more lights if they're needed, especially during flowering, don't skimp on the lights come flowering time. I say go for it, u got plenty of light to get u goin at the very least. Good luck!

Check out htgsupply.com, they got complete kits to get u goin. HID's don't really cost that much to run, but it depends on what they charge per kw in ur area. My 400w hps costs like 15bucks a month to run, which problyisn't far off from what it would cost to run all those cfls.

Have you run all those for a while to see if you can keep the temperatures in line? I know it's all cfl's but that heat adds up.

you can get a 400w hps for under 300

Hell you can get a 400 hid for under $100 shipped. Look at this PSMH, it's as good as a halide for veg and as good as a HPS for flower, you'd just have to make a reflector or remote ballast or whatever you want to make it look cooler.

It depends on how much ur being charged for kw/h. My bill went up like $15 or $20, nothin major. There's a chart that'll get u an idea of how much power HID's use but I don't have a link. Maybe someone else'll know where to find it, would like to know myself.
