Another transplanting question

I did a transplant today with my two plants. I accidently planted one of them deeper than it originaly grew. (More of the stalk is in the ground) Turns out it helps my plants out with the small stalks. Would it be ok if I retransplanted the other one so it is deeper too or would that be too much stress for that plant? It is only about 10 days old and under 150 hps.

ummm.... i don't know.... some people would tell you during a plants life, don't transplant more than 2-3 times (they mostly say 2 times).... because of the stress factor.... so if you do it again, to place it deeper... that will be 2 times...after that, they will consider your plant in danger of going in shock (like they usually do anyway, after a transplant) and cause it to hermie....... but i don't know

my suggestion... if its only 10 days old and you're planning to transplant again after this, don't bother, just make sure to pay attention next time... but if you're not transplanting again, this is its final destination.... i'd go for it....truthfully, i wouldn't have asked anyone anything, and i would have done it first then came on the site saying " WAS it a good idea for me to..........." ha...feel me?

Word. This is my first grow so I dont wanna fuck it all up. I have another question. My plant is developing much slower than the other. My other one is a little older so I know its gonna be a little bigger but the young one just isnt getting its leaves as fast as the other did. The stalk on it is like twisting around like its looking for light. I dont know whats wrong with it. The other one is right beside it so the light shouldnt be a prob. I dont know what strain either one is. I just found them in some I bought. The one that I'm having problems with came out of some good KB. Any ideas. I will post a pic in a sec.

don't know....but i do know if you're growing in cups.... and its over a week.. the roots are about to touch the bottom if they aren't already.... when i fucked up on my transplanting and didn't do it in time, my plants were bugging out... i didn't know what the hell was wrong either.... but it was the cups.... once i transplanted and they got over their shock, they were back to normal... i have had 3 plants (end up killing them) that strarted off crazy... stunted, funny looking leaves... but i know root problems can cause that....thats all i got

The first one is the small one. The 2nd and 3rd on are my larger one. Its about 15 or so days old.

Even if you got both seeds from the same bag, individual strains develop different phenotypes. A pheno is like your brother or sister....the seeds came from the same mother, but each one can have its own "personality". You are probably experiencing a pheno trait. Dont worry about it yet....your plants are still young. Dont over water, leave them alone...dont go transplanting willynilly. Let the plant be itself and let it grow at its own pace, and do not use any fertilizer...they are too young for that...wait until that little "round" leaf starts turning yellow before using ANY ferts.....that little round leaf, i forget what its scientific name is, that leaf has enough embryo nutrients in it to grow at least 3 sets of true leaves.....and

just make sure you water thoroughly right before and use a butter knife to scrape around the edges and they shouldnt even wilt, id say wait a day and do it as long as theres nothing but stem down there (no leafs etc like a clone) and your fine, hitting it with a light breeze by fan will really help those stems thicken too

ummm...damn, don't know what to tell you...

put it on windowsill for 2 days, let it get some sunlight and stretch for it...
thats what i do with my sprouts... windowsill for 2 days so they can get a little taller/stronger and put them in the box afterwards.... if it acts up while its in the box, i would put it back on the windowsill till it straighten itself out (but watch for stretching, they will go crazy in 1 day if you're not paying attention) and once its good again, put it back in the box.... i don't know what it is, but sometimes sprouts seems to act funny in the box and the sunlight helps them out...

Yeah no nutes same soil. Same everything. I just found that seed a few days after the bigger one started so it got a later start. Thats the only difference.

Give it a few more days, if by then there is no change, gently pull up on the stem. If it lifts out, see how your roots look, and then plant it a lil deeper. If it doesn't lift out, pack a lil more soil aroun the seedling and wait till it is damn thirsty to water!

i would highly recommend not pulling on those stems the root system is establish theres no need to mess with it, what will this accomplish? there very delicate at this point, i see why if your checking for pythium rot but this shouldnt be the case ,always transplant with all the soil in the cup along with the seedling put it in a bigger container is all, almost no stress should come to the plant if your careful

Thats why you pull incredibly gently. If the root system has begun to establish (which it should have very well by now), then a slight tug will not hurt it one bit! But, if there are no established roots by now then there wont be, it will lift out, and you can try to replant.

no need to get offensive mang, then educate me and tell me what would cause this slow root growth in your experience? ive culled 50 seedlings not two months ago and i can safely say each one got damaged no matter how careful

i ripped roots before.... i mean.... i really ripped it...haha....plant was still going....grew new roots

well agree to disagree, something like that seems a little dangerous to a new grower, its one of the first rules of soil growing in every grow book ive ever read, be patient dont go digging anything up, ive messed with alot of seedlings and there root systems which is why i posted, i just go by the book thats all, have a good one, nice cfl grow btw
