25 gallons a week? holy crap.... are you serious or exaggerating?

if you spend 260 within a year or $10 a week... that really isn't anything... i'm sure people spend more than that on porn..... or at least, i know i do...ha
i dont spend $10 dollars a week on my whole grow let alone just the water.

and what third world country are you in where they only have 26 weeks in a year?

25gallons a week is not all that much. I water like every 3-4 days, so about twice a week. Every time I water I use about 12-14 gallons. So in a week I use about 25gallons of water.

Each plant gets like 3/4 gallon to 1 gallon of nutes every watering. THey are in 2-3gallon pots, and I end up with about 25% runoff. By making sure I have this runoff, it keeps me from building up salts in my soil.

And as far as the fish tank goes, you never want to change all the water in it. You want to do like 25% changes every week or two and top off as needed. You will kill your fish if you change all the water at once. The fish need a slime coat, bacteria, etc in the water, and with fresh water, there is none of this stuff.

When you first get your tank, only get a couple of cheap fish you are willing to have die. Put these fish in the tank for like 2 weeks. These fish will get the ecosystem going in the tank, then you can start adding other fish. I have had fish tanks for the past 10 yrs, and kept fish alive for up to 7yrs.

that stuck out the most...haha...

but the part about the slimecoat and how much water to exchange...thanx for the tip, didn't know that.....

and you're right about the 25 gallons...sounds like you definately know what you're doing...i forgot about 3 gallon pots since i don't use those....3 liter soda bottles for me, ha...(i'm small time)

I know where you're coming from. When I first started growing about 4yrs ago I was using tiny 1gal pots, which only hold about 1/2 a gallon of soil. I would only use like 3-4 gallons of nutes a week. It took me damn near a year to go through my first bottles of nutes. Now I buy my base nutes by the gallon and end up at the hydro shop like every week or two to pick my additives. They are a lot more expensive so I don't buy those by the gallon, at least not yet.
