We had a big snow storm. Over 40,000 people had no power for two days because of all the fallen trees. My plant is usually on a 18/6 starting at 6:00 a.m and leading up until 12:00 midnight. The power shut off 2 nights ago at 1:00 in the morning and just came back on. (2 nights later... 3:07 p.m.)

I tried to give her as much light as possible from outside... It was much though... It's very cloudy. She looks like she's doing fine, but all of the leaves are extremely droopy. Basically, she hasn't had any light for...around 38 hours. Something like that. So, what should I do. I have the light on right now, but like I said, the light is supposed to be on on 6:00 a.m. That's the only schedule I can follow in order to work around my job.

What do I do?

That sucks I've been there!

Leave it on the same time schedule you had it on. Since the plants are just vegging they will bounce back fast and there will be little damage, they'll just be stunted for a few days (not unlike if one didn't eat for two days, one would be a little frail for a few days afterward). Plants are much hardier during veg it just during flowering 12/12 you would have to be careful.

Do you have a timer for your lights?

Good Luck with the snow!

I don't have an automatic timer for my lights so that they go off on their own, but I'm always awake at midnight so I can flip them off... (My alarm goes off at midnight to remind me.) And my alarm also goes off at 6:00 to remind me to turn them on. So, It's just as precise. But yeah. I'll continue amongst my normal schedule... I'll turn the lights off at midnight, and at 6:00 in the morning I'll turn them back on.

For sure that's a good plan.

You might wanna think about picking up a timer anyway. They're like ten bucks at wally world and they save your ass if you have to be out of town. Especially, when you flip it to 12/12 and you might not be at home while the light need to go on and off.

Cheers!

Yeah, I'll probably get one then. What are they called exactly?

Bummer! I would leave them on till midnight then start your regular cycle again. Then look into buying a generator for those no power moments. Good Luck!
