to keep the heat off my plants from my 400 w hps light. I temporarily put a glass pot lid..lol i know i know but I guess it would be as affective for light and was wondering if i should move it closer to the plants which are approx a foot and a quarter away as it is..I dont want them to be deprive of the light.. what would you suggest..

What I gotta see a pic of this I'd get rid of some glass lid thing duct taped onto your light waiting to crush your babies.
Plus even a sheet of glass on the air cooled hoods blocks lumens.
Anyway to cool down your room without sacrificing light intensity is #1 for me.

I've got a 400 watt hps 8" away from my plants in a small cabinet..... 30"x30"x4'
as long as your under 30C your fine....... all I got is a fan blowing across the canopy of my plants which cools it down... I also have an 80cfm bathroom fan pulling heat right from the cabinet itself.....

You shouldn't need any glass, you should have a fan on the bulb and on the tops of the plants.

how many ladies you got inside your cab? the dimensions sound similar to mine. Was planning on vegging with my 400w hps but I had heat issues so I switched to cfl's. Got a new fan Imma put to work in the next day or so that should take care of the heat though.

I got 3 in 3 gallon pots and 1 in 1 gallon pot...
I'd recommend stayin with the 1 gallon pots cause it will limit how big your plants get... I ended up having to tie my ladies down cause they grew too big...

I'm almost there... I checked my trichs today and they are all cloudy... so in the next 1 or two weeks..... we'll see

Cool! and the buds are nice and danky looking too. I can imagine how they smell!
