Bush and Cheney allowing the detainment and torture of juveniles at guantanamo bay for unspecified offenses and for an unspecified period of time. The latest "stimulus" package being offered by Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats is nothing more than a Marxist wish list that will bind future generations of children into economic slavery. If that isn't child abuse, what is?

You're really quite insane with Bush Derangement Syndrome, aren't you bradly?Bush and Cheney allowing the detainment and torture of juveniles at guantanamo bay for unspecified offenses and for an unspecified period of time.
Yes, when that poverty is caused by crushing taxes placed upon future generations to come.National poverty is child abuse now?

No. That was a link to a page on libertarianism. Libertarians are for small government and low taxes. The Libertarian party would get government out of the charity business, which would bring down taxes. It would legalize marijuana, at the very least. And it would greatly reduce the laws that force many otherwise [reasonably] honest businessmen into becoming crooks. (And no, I'm not saying that all businessmen would be honest if the government wasn't trying to steal so much money from them. But I do believe that most of them would.) There's nothing wrong with capitalism itself, and the Libertarian party knows that. Blah blah and so forth. And what good would it do to legalize marijuana? Oh ... are you thinking that it could be taxed? Well, when the slogan is uttered: "Free the Weed," taxing the shit out of it hardly makes it "free," now does it?

PPP, this section is specifically for talking about Politics, so it's appropriate to talk about what the government is doing.Chill the fuck out before u pop a vain who cares what the government is doing life is too short to worry about shit, do what u want and what makes u happy as long as it hurts nobody and if the government doesn't agree with it don't get caught for e.g. smoking pot aint hurting anyone but its illegal, but makes u happy, smoke it and don't get caught.
Well it might mean that less room were needed in the prison system. The court costs for pot heads. So in some ways legalization or at least de-criminalization would reduce govt spending. And what good would it do to legalize marijuana? Oh ... are you thinking that it could be taxed? I know, man. I've been a registered Libertarian for the past 25 years or so. Blah blah ... and so forth.No. That was a link to a page on libertarianism. Well, you're right as usual, no doubt. But it kind of frosts me when pot smokers talk about legalizing the weed and in the same breath talk about taxing it too. Not saying that anyone in this thread is doing that ... just sayin'....Well it might mean that less room were needed in the prison system. The court costs for pot heads. So in some ways legalization or at least de-criminalization would reduce govt spending.
Taxation is a different matter entirely.
Same back atcha.I thought you seemed familiar. Good to know you.
No shit. Me too. I've voted Libertarian down the ticket since I was 18 (36 now), but had to vote R this time. Didn't really want to, but Palin won me over, and the Democrats have gone too far. Thinking I'm going back to voting L, unless they run Jindal and Palin next go round. But they (Republican Party) are probably not that smart, LOL.Same back atcha.
I will admit though ... I voted for Palin this last go-round. She's the first Republican presidential candidate I've voted for since Reagan. Yeah, I know ... I know ... she was running for Vice President, but hey ... only a heart beat away.

Man, that would be a killer ticket ... Bobby Jindal and Sarah Palin. No shit. Me too. I've voted Libertarian down the ticket since I was 18 (36 now), but had to vote R this time.
