I was at walmart today getting stuff to change the oil in my car. I was waiting in line at one of the self checkouts when I look over and notice someone left $40 in the machine next to me. the people in front of me just finished, so I couldn't just walk over and use that one without it looking suspicious, and I think someone else noticed it as I walked over.. so I went over, took the money out, and handed it in to one of the cashiers. there was no way I could take it like it was mine, so I did a good deed for the day.
if that wasn't bad enough, I get back to work and as I'm walking in, my boss is walking in behind me and I hold the door for him.. wtf man! 2 good deeds in the same hour??
anyone else ever find money in a self checkout? did you keep it? I've found $20 before. I just use my debit card, then take it along with my money as if it was mine. the money I turned in today, they just put back in the machine anyway. no good deed goes un-punished.
