What is your favorite pH??

I've read that the pH does really great around 5.2 (optimal) during vegatative and 5.7-5.9 during flowering. Then I read that 5.8 is best because it gets all the nutrient intake. Then I was reading somewhere on here that a low pH around 5.3 was great for flowering.

1. What's the best (your way) pH in your oppinion based off experience (veg and flowering)?

2. If my water is around 80degrees F, is there a way I can optimize pH to work with this better?

Uses the Rollitup profile
HIGHdro pH in the HIGHfives. (5.5-6.0)

Your res is too hot. At that temp, bad stuff will grow, and ruin everything. Lower it to the 60's if possible, and your plants will be healthier.

Hmm any stuff I can add to the water to kill this stuff forever without damaging the plants? Maybe I'll rip this carpet up

Yeah, why is there so many different opinions on PH? I have been reading alot of contradictory idea's on where the PH should be...Any experienced hydro growers want to elaborate on this topic?

yeah why is there so many different opinions on PH one of my plants PH is 7.2 and the plant loves it shes so perky but every body says it should be around 5.5 to 6.8 i think that it should be what ever the plant likes

Yeah, I have not figured out what my plants really like..I am sure it changes through out there life though. 5.8 seems to be the middle ground though..Mogie posted a chart once, I will see if I can find it....

My gro shop said 5.5. In one of Kindprincess's posts, she said "most nutrient formulas buffer to 6.0 +/- a point or two. ideal ph is 5.8, so adjust appropriately."

For reasons that I don't know yet, you can have your PH lower in Hydro then in dirt...I have not done a dirt grow yet so I have not done much research on why that is...But I don't think my plants like 5.5, when I go that low, I get a feeling they want it back up a bit...Just a gut feeling though..

My Favorite PH is 5.8793572. This is exactly what my plants told me they needed one night in a dream.

LOL, Yeah didn't think much about the title to the thread, it just seems like just about every one does something different, I guess the title of the post should be "What ph do you prefer while running a hydro feed"?

These responses are pretty much what I suspected they would be...Vague, unscientific, and caddy. What is up with this? I figure that the PH is a very important factor in the nutrient intake of our plants, but know one breaks it down to the reason why you would keep the PH at any level at all... Where are the elders when you need them......

i am new but i think you should let the plant tell you what PH it likes i think that it would depend on all the variables like how hot what food humidity all the factors i have a plant right now that like the PH to be a 7.2 and its the most perky looking plant i ever had so i dont no i was going to bring it down to 5.5 but it likes it so im going to leave it
