Any help would be much needed

1)I bought 2 4ft flourecent tubes 2250 lumens and 5000k per tube would that be alright to pre veg and veg under maybe even flower under. but will get a 400w hps/mh switchable ballast. just wondering if its to much or not enough the 2 4fters?

2) for soil got miracle grow potting soil with miracle grow perlite and hoffman vermiculite would this be enough if i made a mixture of the three batches from start to finish using foucet water maybe with a air stone to better the ph level ?
your help would be much appriciated Thanks

Fluorescent is great for vegging but definitely hps for flowering.....and 400watt should be sufficient for 2 4 footers just cut the lower branches that dont receive light when you start flowering....ohh yeah I recommend 4 fluorescent tubes........ for every cool white have a warm white

Ive done it Just make sure you keep the plants close as possible to the lights to avoid stretching

Ok thanks jc and ganja do you think that soil will be ok tho? Through out the grow or will I need to get some nutrients? Any good mixures I could use and you think them lights are cool tho there the full spectrum is that a cool tube or a warm white? Thanks guys for real cause I'm trian to get this shit started already I've been kind ove putting it Asside for some good knowlage ya know

Yea get nutrients. From what ive heard Fox Farms nutrients are pretty good.

Im not sure what your asking about the floros. The ones you have will do just fine for veg. Id go with the hps for flowering

Allright here we go,

First of all does the miracle grow soil have slow release nutes???
Also, you don't need an hps for flowering, but you will need to switch from 5000k to 2700k when flowering. Your yeild won't be high with floros compared to hps, but it can be done.

The most inportant thing right now is the soil, slow release is a no go.

Ok the miracle grow potting mix is a continuous release plant food it says feeds plants up to 3 months is that decent, plus I got that other shit to the perlite and vermiculite ok cool ganja was just wondering on the lummens and Shit but a yea it's a continuous realease Pwise I'm ganna have to take a couple pix to show you what I'm working with when it's all said and done. Cause I got 2 of the 4ft floro tubes so that's what 10,000k and 4,500 lummens all together

Slow release burns your plants as babies. If your babies leaves start lookin deformend then you need to transplant asap.

6500k color temp cool white. 2700-3000k color temp warm white.One cool for each warm white.....I buy my fluorescent fixtures and lights at wal-mart.These are growing under fluorescent lights I purchased at Wal-mart

Hey Jc, do you think I should get like a couple of them little swirlley cfl bulbs and put them on the side of the 4ft fixture or something like that maybe but do I need to have the warm white bulbs to veg under bro skizzle

I think you should veg with the swirly cfls they put out more lumens and a better wattage. Swych to 6500k 26 wtt daylight from walmart...

Really? No one said anything about that? 5000k is the color temperature. You don't take two 5000k bulbs and get 10000k. You need to use 5000k bulbs for your veg and use the 2700k bulbs for flower. Now, I'm not expert in floro's, but when you buy them sometimes they say "day time" or "Soft Cool White" or whatever bullshit, you have to decipher what that means. I'm sure someone here can help with that.

wow those look great but looks hydro are you putting them in sol? ive heard mixed things with mg soil i use ff ocean forest and seems to have everyhting plans need as for lights your flours are ok for veg more you have fast plant grows as for flower hps will do just fine most people that personaly grow prolly use the 400 watter seems to be great tool

I use 400 watt mh/hps, but on my last grow I vegged with 8 cfls and worked outstanding. here is 3 weeks of veg under cfl

Ya lison to someone that only has 13 posts. If you want to see the difference than look into my thread and you will see the difference in lighting. But I would never use 5600k for veg I would rather use 65k for veg and than the 42 watt cfl's that walmart sells.
