It's not really a secret. my soil in the beginning was expert gardner with slow realease in it, yes I know this was very bad from the get go. I have been growing plants for a while, but this was all I could find in the beginning, so I made do with what I could get since all nurseries are closed during the winter and at all local stores good soil is a seasonal thing. I started out with 7 plants under 8 26 watt cfls 6500k daylight. I would keep the lights 1 inch off the plants with a fan running. The lights where on 24/0, usually I veg at 18/6 for normal growth, but since my grow is time sensitive so I ran 24/0. 24/0 is good if you want your babies to grow fast. The roots won't grow that fast without a night period, but they can catch during flowering which they did. I did not give any nutes since the soil already had slow release in it. for the first 2 weeks thay stayed in 16 ounce plastic cups and the translanted into 2 gallon buckets with fox farm ocean for soil. They got there first feeding at 3 weeks.
So my main advice I can give to you is 24/0 1 inch away from the canopy with a fan running.
