Heres my plants after 4 weeks veg under 4 cfls and in window during day/sunlight!! they are on 18/6 light hours. do you guys think they are doing well? and when should i start flowering.. the seeds came from a crop of jack herer, euphoria and power plants (unsure of spellings)that somehow had seeds in it, possibly a hermie or something the guy said, i dunno.. i have more pics if anyone wants to see more... and what kinda strain do you think they look like?? also the smaller brighter green plant on the left is only growing 3 fingered leaves as the other now has some good looking 7 fingered leaves!!!! thanks to all who read, please do not flame the n00b :fire:

im using 18watt cfls. i know they arent great. they are the best i could get at the moment so they will have to do!! my grow box is 18inch x 18inch and 3foot or so deep. im using only half the height at the moment and can drop the plants to any height as desired.. but during the day they are being moved into natural light and then back into growbox for the rest..

do these plants look right to start flowering or are they too under developed to start yet?

Couple more pics :D the smaller plant has some of what looks like burnt tips on the lower leaves, i guess i need to start feeding them something? im not sure... ive been just giving them tap water tat ive left sitting for a day or so and a lil rain water every 4 or so days... but am yet to give them any feed.. also have removed the first single leaves as they were not looking too healthy, but other than that they seem to be doing great. just a little slow eh...

I went for a shorter veg.
2 weeks I think
cfl grow too, smaller plants
more light hitting em, and grew 3-4 times as big once flowering kicked in.
I've read, can produce bigger buds
this way.
Peace

Are you boiling your water?
Tap water is not as good as distilled.
Reverse osmosis water is great
If you have Kroger where you are, i'd check out the 7 step filtrated water they sell (some stores) It's carbon filtered, rev. osmosis filtered, UV filtered and plants
thrive using this H2O.
I used to boil tap water, can't compare to
This water. 1.19$ for 3 gallon refill.
It really is worth it in my opinion.
Peace

:bigjoint: Hey B3n,

Thx for stopping by my thread...

Had to check yours out, looking good sir!

I was using snow for a while out of my backyard,

I think your choice of nutes will be excellent. I think in veg stage, you want high FIRST and LAST numbers in VEG, to promote good green GROWTH, and in flower, I believe you want a high MIDDLE number, for good BLOOM, so 5-5-10 is low, good choice.

So for flower, Id reccommend you to prepare to research what good fertz is for Flower. Im not sure if 15-30-15 is good, but thats what I used.

In flower now I went with 15-30-15 miracle grow, ( < high MIDDLE number ) but its working okay cant complain......but I went to the store too and got some distilled and rev osmo water, gonna use it for the last 3 weeks with NO nutes so as to flush and keep her healthy!

Hey B3nn,

Have you thought about changing your CFL positioning?

I see you have them aimed DOWN at them.....

Would it be better to place them LENGTHWISE/HORIZONTAL over the plant, instead of just the tip on top of the plant? I dunno just maybe giving ideas.......not trying to wreck your gro.

But, from your box design it wont be too easy, but, I think if you expose more light to the plant it MAY be better. Thats why Im sayin try horizontal.

i understand what you mean man, im redesigning my grow space soon and i guess they will receive more light if i turned my CFLS side on, i see most people use them that way ;) so maybe i should change them around a bit..

The plants look great today, Day6 of flower and no signs of sex yet.. maybe soon eh...
