Anyone have any news on this! ESPN said 8 people have been arrested in connection with the Phelps photo. Seven charged with drug possession and 1 with distribution. The bong was being sold on Ebay and cops tracked it down!

What do we do? Who do we contact? I'm willing to voice my displeasure. Give me an outlet.

If this is the DEA doing the charging I'd be really worried. I mean, just think what the Feds are gonna do now if you cheat on your taxes ... Unless you're connected to the leaders of the Democrat Party, that is. bongsmilie

Again, you tie everything to your taxes. Hey dimwit, we get it, you don't like taxes, enough. What about the commies and liberal socialist fascists, you left them out.

I think its terrible he lost all those endorsement deals. Just for smokin a little bud? It obviously has had no impact on his athleticism. I will never understand why this wonderful misunderstood plant is sooo demonized.

newgrower, people are just completely fucking retarded, thats the conclusion ive been forced to come to, i like to think that all of us here on RUI are on a higher level of brain functioning, and enlightened, people who think he did something wrong, are not the enlightened ones, they are the blind, in the dark.

what a terrible waste of police resources.
yeah. tax dollars well spent.
Have you seen the picture of Sheriff Lott standing in front of the APC with the M2 Browning .50 cal. mounted on it? Another terrible waste of police resources. Police officers are supposed to account for the rounds they fire. There is no way to do that with a machine gun that's bullets can go for miles and go through walls like paper. There is no practical use for that weapon on a police force.

We need to start laying alot of the blame for this kinda shit on the media,at every oportunity they over dramatize anything to do with pot, they turn every story into sensationilism style reporting & run it in the ground, the they look for new angles to go right back at the same story.

You can bet the bank if Kellogs hadnt reacted the way they did after the media ran out of ways to exploit the story they'd of turned their venom on kellogs, they'd have entire "news programs" devoted to the discussion of how Kellogs handeled the situation, they'd have pro pot people on one side defending Kellogs, then anti pot DEA yoyo's & AMA Doctors on the other side condeming pot,as well as condeming Kellogs for setting a bad example for Americas youth.

The local sheriff just wants his 20 minutes of fame with all this shit, its his big chance to prove he's hard on drugs, just another local government employee with dreams of political greatness,he is using this mans stardom as his access stamp to unlimited media exposure so he can use this for re election, or as a stepping stone for a better government job & the media is all too happy to help him.

Now they got A-rod there trying tear him down, these people make me sick, I could care less if phelps hits the bong or If he wants to go out get shit face drunk he can go ahead or bang as many college broads as wants more power to him. They sensationalize everybodys little mistakes (if you can even call them mistakes(bong toke) so these fucking judgemental folks:finger: at home can judge and comment about everyone elses lives, its like they revel in destroying peoples reputation.

People are obsessed with other peoples lives for some reason, why they have such interest in things that don't affect them what so ever I don't know. These people need to grow up and stopping worring about other people lives and shit that doesn't affect. Good night

It goes right back to the media. They've made people more interested in the lives of the rich and famous than people are interested in living their own lives. The demographic these types of stories are targeted to are mostly middle age women, arguably the group that is most board in their boring soccer mom lives.

yeah this is just BS.

i could walk up to a cop and be like "hey bro, I was smoking MAD pot just a second ago." but if he were to even search me and find nothing, NOTHING would happen.

You kinda have to be caught in the act with something like that.

This is just retarded. I obviously have no idea of what Phelps is going through, however if I was him I would use this situation to show how absurd this prohibition really is.
