Plants look nice man. Buds are swelling up a bit. I'm with tony though, 160 bucks from HTG for a 400w light combo. Ballast, reflector, MH and HPS bulbs. You'll notice a world of differance with the plants. But they are still looking nice man cheers. TC

nah id set one up my self from 1000bulbs.com and put it together myself 50 for the ballast, 10 for the bulb, and 5 for the socket.

i checked out the website it looked awesome and i was about to pull the trigger b/c thats a good price and BAM no shippin to canada. So that sucks

Ya your right, i found the light and ballast, but where do i find the socket?

Also if anyone else has good ideas where i can get a good 250 watts (aaround there) hps system to canada, then let me know cuz im interested.

A question to you guys though. How hot are the lights really? some of my picture show the room im growing in .Its not a closet, but its not huge either. The heat is really the only thing that concerns me

Where in CA, I know of several shops in toronto, and in Niagra falls that i've been to up there. Just google hydroponics shops in what ever area you live, then check out there sites, or swing in, I'm sure you can get a good deal on a 400 or 600 combo at most places.

But dam i actually realized something that means i cant get an HPS kit, the rooms height is only bout 3 and a half feet tall. like right now the plants are maybe 4-5 inches away from the CFLs. That wouldnt fly with an HPS cuz im pretty sure the plants would burn. So, no HPS for me for now. But hey, CFLs are doin a hell of a job so far

Hm ya i think i know of one where i live actually. Maybe ill check it out and get some ideas on how i could make it work

Ya more CFLs would be a great idea if you are limited on space. You could even hang them around the out side of the plant to fill out the lower buds! Then maybe set up to HID next grow, figure out something with a it more height, or not, just a thought.

Man i dont know anything about HID. Whats a cool tube?
but yes i have been thinking of adding extra cfls at the side, i just havent gotten around to it. I figure id perfect the growing technique first and then when ive gotten a few succesful crops ill move it to a bigger room and get an HPS.

yer your should be alright with a 150 watt in a cool tube. a cooltube is a reflectors with fans on ether end so the heat from the light gets taken out of the grow area never used 1 but the amount of heat a 150 creates aint to much so should be almost as cool as cfls. i wouldnt put anything over 250watts hps in there tho iv got a 600 in a 4 meter square room and it heats that up fast

hey i was just looking for the strain but cxant find it what strain is it? for some reason im thinking white widow but thats mostly cause it looks like white widow
