question on 65 watt cfl

Ok i have installed two lights of america 65 watt Fluorescent Area Light 500W, which according to the specs put out 6,825 Lumens

My question is when they calculate lumes is that with the plastic cover installed or without?

i would just remove the plastic lens. thats really only needed for outdoor applications.

You can get it at home depot for about 40 dollars

also on ebay for about the same price

here is a light from ebay you can get fairly cheap. 400w hps multi tap ballast. its for the DIYer who can rewire it from 277 volt to 110 or 220 volt and can take it apart to make it remote.

ya i just came back from home depot and got the best cfl they had which was only a 45w cool white 6500k
