TV Guide Glass Watering Bubbles

Purely from a consumer analytical viewpoint..... Infomercial for TV guide advertises these colorful glass bubbler things that you fill with the liquid concoction of choice, invert it and stick it in the soil of your potted plant. As the plant ingests the liquid air pockets form and the bubbles allow the remaining liquid in the bubbler thing to flow as needed. Therefore, hypothetically you can't over/under water the plant. Anyone ever tried these or know anyone who has?

I've seen those, but they seem like they would be a hazard. I could see those breaking real easy especially if You have a lot of plants to be moving around. Plus who knows how much they would cost?

If You only have a handful of plants and want to experiment than give it a go.

Saw a display of these at Wal-Mart for I think $10 each? Also saw the pots with water feeding at the bottom (another thread about these) I would consider better and the pot is approx. same cost depending on size pot. I haven't tried either though.

I seen them at Wal*Mart too. I think that they may be a little overkill for the plants cause the pot generally have to dry out before feeding. It seems to me like force feeding a child who isn't hungry. Just my opinion!
