hey guess ill start a journal - this is update from prev post

How do they look ? I'm doing good ?
they are 2.5 weeks old. I got posted pics

I grew a sucessful 3 ft tall plant under same light that yeild some good product .. so I am not worthless. I also grew three 2.5ft tall males unforntunately one time.

Seeds - Femenized skunk (indoor indica)

Here is my current set up:

Grow room - 4 x 3 x 5 feet , mylar on walls

Light - 400 watt MH on 18-20 hour cycle (3 feet away from plants)

Watering - 1 week ago I gave each pot 1200ml filtered H20 , I just gave them 600 ml each yesterday, its 2.5 gallon pot, hows my watering ?

Temperature - 80 F average with light on
70F with light off

Ventilation - fan blowing air into room onto plants

Humidity - 45%

Soil - becuz i am lazy i am using Miracle Gro Potting Mix , no added knutes, worked on prev gro

i had a previous grow and used 4 100wt cfls, they were fine. after me and my ex broke up, he took them because he made the purchase. these lights i have now, i have noticed are alot better so far, in two weeks they are big and have many leaves. i got this result with the cfls a year ago but slower. these lights i have now are specifically for growing plants indoors.

Ok, always go with your gut. Ive just never seen results from plant lights. Lamp.

I am going to grow northern lights female seeds outdoors. I will be useinf fox farm soil and nutes. They will get 5 hrs direct sunlight on the side of my house. I am going to start them in the window inside in jiffy pellets. how big should i let them get before i put the pellets in there 10 gallon pots outside? Any more tips would be greatfull to have. thank you

Hi, thanks for the assistance, you do seem to know what you're talking about. Sorry if I'm asking a question that you already answered but I can't go through every reply right now. I'm just wondering, I have two very small grow room cabinets with Aerogarden Classics, suplemented with cfls. I'm a female and not real handy but I'm kind of getting into this and want to improve on the grow. I bought a 150 watt hps but when I put it in the larger cabinet space, the plants turned yellow. It seemed like it was too hot or something, so I took it out. I've since bought some fans, which I had trouble finding locally don't have a local hydro shop, so finding supplies nearby isn't the easiest. I went to a hydro shop in the city and got a couple of good fans. I was just wondering what kind of lights would result in good sized buds, not too hot and on the small side or side mounting. Should I try the 150 watt hps again with the fan? Keep in mind my diy level is not advanced. What would you suggest?

They look pretty good your waterin is fine for veg use 20-20-02 fert and for vegatative use 8-34-8 Also miracle grow potting mix has a different ph I dont usually use miracle grow(soil) I like add nutes not having them already in it cause it is more controllable.

A plant needs at least 16 hrs of sunlight or 12+ b/c u dont want it to go strait into flowerin. Germinate the seeds then place germinated sedd(taproot down ) into the soil. You can place into the window just make sure they have enough light. Cheak the hours of your photoperiod around your area. If there is not enough time just add the other time in with an artifical light. I would gently transplant once your seedling sprout iss first leaves. (ONE on each side) then transplant into a 10 gallon pot. Dont over water. Be careful cause they are very young.Good luck.

If the temp is the problem just get a small fan to circulate you dont have to get those expensive fans at a hydro shop just go to your local hardware shop and look aroud you will be surprised. Youll get a good circulating fan for cheap. And your lights should be ok. How many plants do you have. U can also get a thermometer for the temp aim for 70- 85 at most 85 cause any higher is too hot for the plant.

Lampshade took care of my questions for me man i uped your rep 4 taht. I went out to smoke a blunt and this fuckin dog ran up on my porch and scared the fuck out of me so I took it back to its owner and he cussed me out and threatened to call the cops for wakin him up that late at night WTF.... ??? I just brought you your dog bitch fine go ahead call the cops. I didnt think he would do it but he did it. so ther i was blasted on hemp smoked a blunt be4 this blunt. Am under 21 and drunk off my ass. And there is a fuckin cop gunna be at my house man I sure hated that feelin. So I did what I could to cover it up eyedrops. Gum ( had a whole pack in my mouth) and was sittin on the porch smokin a cigarette to keep the smell of alchohal from smellin more than my axe. Rough night you should of seen me tryin to talk to the cop. All shit faced and shit. I am currently veggin 18 plants in a 3'x4' area with Ott fluoro lights and I am at the point I would like to switch to MH or HPS. The plants are about 3" tall and most are starting to grow their third set of leaves. I have a 600 watt HPS which I bought for my flowering room but I would like to use it to veg then replace it when the time comes to flower. The bulb I have is an AgroMax 95,000 lumen HPS with mostly red spectrum but has some blue in it. My question is, can I use this light or should I go to Home Depot and get a MH bulb(white spectrum) until I can afford a blue spectrum bulb. My ballast runs HPS and MH. What to do?

The sun dosent ever come out for 16 hrs any where. It would have to rise at 6 am and set at 10pm. I dont have atificul light. are you telling me evrey outdoor grower veg there crop indoors? I live in florida and have heard of people growing start to finnish outside. That 16 hrs of light is stressing me out beause its impossible. do you know what im saying? Please help dude? I plan on starting in mid march cuz the weather is warm down here. thanks alot!

the red light is ussually for flowering it might work but just in case i would go get a plant and aqurium light or ome white light that is big enoough to fit your needs.

Alright man i am just sayin you can start to grow marijuan under 12/12 light photoperiod cause it ll go strait into flowerin. You live in floridaa right i live in the NE it is winter time right now there is not as much light time as if the light photo period in teh summer. Fine aim for 14 -10 but if i were you i would at least for the seedligns get acheap artificial light and give em some light for a couple of hour until they get a good size them let them go wild. You can plant in pots also so if there is like a hurrcane or sommethin (JUst jokin ) you can bring em inside.

When you say white light do you mean white spectrum? How high should I set my light above the plants? I don't want to shock them with the brighter light.

During vegatation the plants ussually react better to a blue light spectrum why arent you using your ott flouro lights. Ussually you set the lights 3-5 inches from the plant.
