Maybe you could graph out the pH and then have another pump set on a timer that brings in fresh water whenever it is needed.
Or if you know any thing about microcontrollers you could have on that test pH and delivers correct nutes. Haha, maybe a little too much for this sized grow. I like to think big.

yeah all that sounds cool. i would go for it, even for 4 plants, but my financial advisor wife) would frown on the expense oh well a little manual labor won't hurt

Great journal buddy, Im impressed at the seemingly explosive growth! I use the cfls also but with soil, Perhaps ill try Dwc sometime. Great job on the home made dwc too, very nicely setup! Ha ha i know how the financial advisor thing is... Just 2 days ago i coulda had a 400w mh for like 30 bucks even with shipping but i was convinced otherwise! Well keep it up buddy im pulling up a chair for this one!

this is my first dwc. i grew 1 plant indoors in 08and had a lot of problems. did a lot of reading and research. so far so good. i have grown quite a bit outdoors in the late 70s and early 80s. this is a learning experience my veg tub is 4 gal. i used silver duct tape for the top and duct tape for the sides. some cvs cops, holes made with a solder iron. a 10 air stone from wally world, a air pump for 20 gal aquarium. drill 2 3/4" holes for the cup.

day 24 ran out of room in my veg space. moving to flower room tomorrow also adding more light. it is 32"x40"x6'. just missing the door

thanks check out the dwc only thread. i read up on it while i was f#$cking up my first try in soil. so i figured i would give it a try. it seems to be working.

Those plants are really digging the nutes! Where did you get the nutes?
Is that a 400w light? Are you going to use a fan in there? Air purification?
Also how loud are the air stones?

bought them on line. right now you can get the grow or flower on ebay for $19 delivered. thats cheaper than most. i got mine from a online place that is out of dutch master advance. they are 6 23w=100w. 2 @ 2700k,4 @ 6500k. the big light is a 400w mh with agrosun gold bulb. it has a fan, i leave the cab open when light is on. the noise is very minimal. i think the tape helped.

day 28 have 3 left on 18/6 with just cfl. the cfls really worked well for veging. onto flower. started 4 on 12/12 taday will start the other 3 when i get some 2700k bulbs.

I don't know if it's just because they are stout but usually plants that have small leaves like the one on the lower left are males :/.
I wouldn't worry just yet but be on the look one the sex starts showing
