I like having 4 42's per plants... I know it sounds like overkill, but you atart with one bulbe per plant, and work your way up as the plants need it. The first few lights should ve a higher K rating, then when you fet close to flowering, start adding your 2700K bulbs. at least 1/2 of the bulbs should be 2700K... Add a T5 on the canoppy too if you like, that would provide great lighting, and awsome results! If you pack a ton of them in a small box, heat can be an issue, so make sure you have good venting! Cheer man!

it sure is nice to see more people growing with the fluorescent. i was told by my local head shops that i wasnt going to yield next to nothing and that it would be a low grad of smoke. well im sorry to say that i know different. i had two plants and i used 28 to flower and i was very happy with the outcome. im got one plant this time and i am using 6 26 watts from wally world for veg. (could use 3 or 4 more) i am in a box that is 3x3x1.5. i will be using 30 or so this time to flower and see what happens. i dont think you can use to many fluorcents. the more the better. i will be posting some more pics of my plant soon. good luck with your grow.

Hey... I'm doing nearly the same size, maybe a little taller, but I would definitely go with CFL. If you're into electronics you can buy sockets to hook up to a store bought lamp power cable. Basically have 4 sockets connected to wires that are connected to the lamp power cable, and from those sockets there are Y socket-splitters that branch off into 4 lights per socket. Some 2700K (might be wrong #, i forget at the moment, but they're the "warm" or "red" ones... they're the cheaper ones). Then the 6500K lights, which look more "white" but emit the blue spectrum. Get an equal amount of both types if you plan on vegging(using 3 6500's per 2700), and for flowering use one 6500K for every 3 2700K light (i'm no expert... but it seems to be OK). Now, depending on preference, you could go with the 25 watts, which are nice in terms of being able to swap them out, more modular, less of a deal to break, etc. Or you could go with 45's which are a little bigger but may make more sense depending on your setup and preference. One nice thing about smaller ones is if you have a flexible mount(see below), you can adjust the height of half of the lights to accomodate bigger ladies.

So theres lights... If you're looking for an easy DIY exhaust you could use a PC case fan. An 8" circular fan mounts easily in the roof of a wooden box... works well enough. You may or may not want a humidifier, which helps and you can get cheaply at a place like walmart or whatever. If you're looking for an interesting mounting solution, get 12 or 14(again, i kinda forget) galvanized steel wire. Braid it with three strands, and you'll have a sturdy enough flexible light fixture solution.

Good luck, and I'll try to check back on this thread (i'm bad at keeping up with forums).
