Yes we can agree that neither Obama or McCain were much to choose from but I would have rather taken my chance with McCain as at least he understood what was in place and how much can be changed at one time and he would have addressed the crazy border holes along Mexico...and to the comment about Obama being the best because he is not gonna raid medical centers for weed you are no longer allowed to talk. If you base what is best for the country on just who will leaglize weed you do not get a turn to talk just keep smoking quietly before the collapse. Obama voted for the patriot act, and you're thinking that he understands the concept of freedom. The only thing that he understands is what his advisors tell him (his real advisors, not the fake appointed ones) and I'm sure they are telling him right now, that the best way to keep a good chunk of the slaves happy is to extend a little personal freedom to them while stealing more economic freedom from them.
The only politician that I have seen that consistently delivers upon what he states he believes is Ron Paul. Funny, but no one sees the leftists on this site going crazy over him. Never mind that he wants to end the war on drugs.
Never mind that he believes that the issue of drug usage is not an issue that the federal government should be involved in.
Never mind that he thinks that there should be no DEA, Marshals, IRS, Income Taxes, or FBI, because law enforcement is the duty of the states and not the Federal Government.
You also have to ignore the fact that he has consistently warned against the impending crisis, and past crises.
He also wants to withdraw from Europe, Iraq, Korea, and Japan, and stop subsidizing their economies at our expense. Why does the United States send billions over seas in paychecks to our soldiers every year?
Should we not bring those units home?
Surely we could find a good use for them, like putting them on the Mexican Border, and enforcing our immigration laws with force.
Why are we hell bent on securing Germany, France, Britain, Korea, Japan and Iraq when our own borders are not secure?
Screw them!
The best way to lead is to lead from the front, which means instead of acting like an international bully we should be making our actions speak the same words we repeat with out following through.
More importantly he wants to reclaim U.S. Sovereignty from the WTO, UN, GATT, CAFTA, NAFTA, and the whole slew of other idiotic treaties. He doesn't favor trying to manage trade with China, or Europe through tariffs and restrictions, but instead wants to use tariffs to replace the income tax and raise revenue.
He understands that tariffs are a tax on consumers, and that foreign corporations do not pay them.

Obama is just another Politician that consistently lies, misdirects, misleads, obscures, and bullshits his way into office.
Ron Paul on the other hand is Statesman that stands by his convictions in his political life and personal life.
Convictions that dictated that he not enroll in the Congressional Pension fund, because it was funded at the expense of tax payers.
Convictions that dictated that he not allow his children to use government guaranteed loans for their education, because they were subsidized at the expense of tax payers.
Obama doesn't have that kind of conviction. He probably wouldn't be able to keep his beliefs straight if it wasn't for his speech writers.

These are some of the things I agreed mostly with Paul about. It was his disolving of the social structure and a reliance on private charities to do the heavy lifting for the poorest, hungriest people that soured me on him. That and he wanted to disolve Social Security, fuck that. I'll be damned if I could get a decent paying job at my age, even if there were any. Paul would have put me (And millions like me) into the streets with an AK a lot sooner than Obama,

I don't think it's right to pass judgment on Obama, just yet.
Having said that, my views are as follows.
Obama, is not a change.
Ron Paul would have been a change.
Our government is consumed with ridiculous partisanship.
It reminds me of 14 vs. 13, Crypt vs. Blood.
If there was no red and blue in government, I think we would be in a better place.
Republicans and Democrats run the country.
The two strongest gangs in history.
All we ever do is choose a leader from these two.
I think we needed someone in there, who is simply sick of the games these guys play everyday.
Our politicians always vote with their party interest at hand.
Whose massaging those interest?
Lobbyist. Scum of the earth.
But, I remain optimistic. I'm still waiting for change...............

Being fiscally conservative when it comes to government is a good thing. I wish California lawmakers thought like that. Anyways I'm also socially liberal and more of a libertarian every day. The Republicans have allowed highly religious and too many ultra conservative people to take over the party. So both parties have major problems in my eyes.

I went to the republican convention and seen Ron Paul in person. He had some amazing ideas that I wanted him to sucessed on. I cant really argue with you on another cause i tottally agree with ya man.. but when it comes down to mccaine and obama they are both fuck heads but im glad obama is in office vs. mccaine
BTW there is a poll going around asking people if ron paul should run for president next year

My ass, he doesn't give two shits if this is bullshit or not. Hes only doing it cause he's been told too. The org. that sent me the email asked everyone too said an email, letter, and all this crap to obama. He had junk mail coming out his ass from these guys. And not as if it was solely that org. but the tons that exsist and everyone that was pissed off about it.
Obama doesn't care about medical marijuana raids, hes only doing it so he doesn't get shafted for it.
Notice these effects only took place after he fucked up that big thing. Forgot what it was, but where he made the apology admitting he messed up.

Green you havent done much checking into Obama as your thoughts are way off on him. I got to see his actions daily as a senator and it was not pretty and as you can see it is showing now. Now you can say what you want bu there are so much higher priorities right now then will weed be leagl that if that is your top priority then your not even trying to help the country.Palin was more of a party choice to combat the hilary type voter and spread the percieved spectrum of voters. It was know on her background but it was thought the liberal sides would overlook her background issues and play with the pro choice stance and right of an unwed mother in regards to her daughter.It was a huge mistake as it turned off the republican party and back fired.Mcain was also not pro war nor was Bush for that matter but a situation that needed to be addressed was maybe not correctly but it was needed.That should have been a massive air war that removed most of Irag and other key spots.Mcain wanted to exit but with a plan to help assure the lives lost were not for nothing unlike Obama who just wants to drop it and forget those who gave thier lives...you are seeing first hand now Obama is not ready for this and is disillusioned on what it will take to fix all these issues.At least we all including or kids and thier kids are now responsible for an additional $48000 in taxes each over the next 10 years and thats just a start.Cant wait for free college for anyone,free health care for all, and it 9 more year no gas cars on the roads...wait who is gonna pay for all that with no new taxes??? I think its going to get real ugly before it gets better at all, people are going to have to knock off politicians and others to regain their freedom. The people that are fucking us over need to get fucked up themselves, one way or the other. Not just fuck it, the universe will take care of it either. That's not going to quite cut it at all.
It seems as if not everyone is looking to starve to death like fucking retards, 50% increase in gun sales should increase the chance of politicians fixing our economy instead of lining their own pockets. Obama is trying. The stimulus package is on the net. When projects are started, they will be posted with details as to what, when and where, and how much. The last 8 years of secret shit has bankrupted the country and killed all the good will that we ever had accross the globe. The fact that the middle class might get a break with this administration just drives all you righties nutzo, eh?
