Yellowing outter leaves and browning tips (pics included)

Hey all, so ive come across some trouble with my 4 week old plant. I started off with mg soil, and switched over to some miracle grow organic soil with very low nute levels. I am currently using 5 26w 6500k cfls, a 24w 2700k cfl and an 15w fluorescent tube.
I have used nutes very sparingly 1/4 strength and relatively sparingly, but am a little concerned w my plant. the ph is fine (6.8-7) I try not to water it until the soil is dry to the touch atleast an inch or 2 down. Below i have some pics. do you think it is nute burn, or deficiency? or possibly burning from the lights (though im using cfls w a fan so i sorta find it hard to beleive, though the leaves are somewhat dry and yellowing and the tips are turning brown)

I know a lot of the people on here know their shit, so lemme know youre expert opinoin. Thanks!

Do not put water on your plants leaves like that. cannabis are like roses, they only like their feet wet!
The browning tips I am pretty sure are from overwatering, that is what I have heard causes browning/dead tips.

The yellowing I beleive is a nitrogen deficiency, but since it is only on the edges, it might be magnesium deficiency?

NOT sure about the underlined part.

try giving them some fish emulsion, or some other High Nitrogen ferts like blood meal and see how the ywllowing goes.

I don't follow that finger test, when the plants are that small, water when the pot is totally dry.Next watering add a few drops of hydrogen peroxide ,per liter of water.Garden lime, and xtra perlite always helps,if theres none in the mix.:http://www.weedbay.net/overgrow-thebook/PlantTrouble/Merged.htm
ive actually got some perilite and garden lime mixed in the soil when i switched pots just a couple days ago. I did end up flushing it out hardcore earlier and i can already see a difference. I think it might have had a minor case of nute burn, and for the water on the leaves, i just did that cause the leaves were crisp to the touch (which was prob from the potential nute burn) I use jacks 20-20-20 but am gonna lay off it for a few days to see if the flush helped at all. Id much rather under nute than over nute. I also rigged a lil co2 dispenser using yeast water and sugar in a 2liter bottle. Ill keep u guys posted w pics. If i dont see any progress I will try and add some nutrients. now we play the waiting game...

Ok, so i flushed out the soil yesterday. the leaves are still brown at the tops, will these leaves turn back if it is nute burn? how long should i wait to give it nutes if it is a deficiency? I dont want to over-water the plant, so any action i do take will be once the soil completely dries out anyway. any recommendations appreciated

id say your doing great.

no the leaf will not grow back from burn, I believe at burn point, all we can hope for is new growth because the damage is done.

try to stay away anything fancy, and stick to what you know.

I see only 2 real problems, a slight burn on the tip, and from your pic, droopy leaf.

I think personally you streched it a lil too far before watering, wich gave you droop, wich in turn maybe cfl burn- or possible slight nute burn, from the high 20-20-20.

I'm a mister, I like misting in veg. I see what that guy said above and I dont know if that sits right with me about the drips. I say foliage feed is good, and I believe when you hit it with water on the green, it promotes root growth. Thats what I heard anyway, but you do not want to mist in flower time because thats a no no mama said.
I'd say just roll with water for a wee bit, low low low nutes, but if you really got a stick up your butt bout the fertz I guess go ahead, but I wouldnt even dare give it a shot of anything till it snaps out of what its in. its still young and by your pic looks very green and healthy.

in other tips, I havent seen your fan or how close the lights are, but I would say, click the fan on low, and raise CFL 1 or 2 notches for operation emergency "less light" try that for 1 day then lower the cfl back down to your regular range. I say this only to try to help the youngling out by less light, and not by trampling it with close proximity.

stay cool boss. watch the bullshit. keep growin.

update, this is how she (hopefully) looks a day after i flushed her out real good. yeah the leaves are a little droopy still, but i see some improvement. i will wait atleast another 5-6 days until i begin adding nutes, because even though i didnt give her much that may have been the cause, i backed the lights of a tad bit but not too much. what do u think?

Hey, thanks man.

I want the best for you too, I'm purely a noob as well so take my info as a grain of salt.

I started flower at about 30 days, I waited till I could sex it, and also I had about 7 to 8 nodes before I switched to 12/12. I just wanted it to be "big" when I switched rather than small. I know there are some dudes flowering from seed, but I wanted hopefully larger buds.

It looks like you have 4 or 5 nodes goin on with your mama I cant tell maybe 4, maybe you are using less light than I did, and it just simply is taking your babe longer to veg out.

Id wait a lil longer to switch to 12/12.

Looks like it healed okay man!

this may be premature, but the top SORTA looks like little hairs forming on the top? prob not cause im still in veg and am not exactly sure what to look for, even if those arent the pistols and are just new leaves forming, its been on a very healthy spurt and im feeling very optemistic about the grow, here are some pics i just took

Aw man wow, youre lady is lookin hott!

I'd say those nodes look nice and close together, no stretch, good green color Id say. Looks like you're back on the trail again actually, I dont think you ever veered off course for a single second anyway! I was just giving my plant just the slightest ever pinchie pincher of fertz out the box Im talkin like a quarter teaspoon (the small one! I always get that mixed up w TBSP) in like 3/4 gallon water tub I had, I threw out the rest of the fert mix the day I watered. I had an aquarium bubbler and I bubbled the tap water for like 2-3 days. But I did Increase it very slowly as it matured. Your strain may act differently, or accept it very well, or maybe need more or less or with your soil choice, possibly none for a while.

If you get some spots on the leaves, it MAY be spider mites or another condition, Thats why I also reccommend misting the plant with water, y'know, like every 4 to 6 hours our so, a slight good mist, dont go crazy with it cause for me it was easy to just keep sprayin haha, or when youre kinda bored and wanna take a peek of the woman! Especially get the UNDERSIDE of the leaves once in a while. I guess thats where they like to hang out or somethin.

Well, if youre CFL'n it, Just be confident in yourself, I know I am of you sir. Try to keep the bulbs close as you can without burn, try not to mess with it too much, watch them fertz, watch that soil, let it get a lil dry, y'know. If you see the soil get low from watering, Id say its okay to add more soil to your pottery, to increase the soil depth cause it may shrink from watering. But not too much as well. Let her go do her thing someday soon man, flower when youre ready, youll feel that urge to flower comin' and then youll switch to 12/12 when you think she's ready.....get your timer ready, and pick a good time to start lights on for 12/12 in your day. Like what time is best to start, 2am to 2 pm, 12 to 12. 4pm to 4am, things like that. I had mine on 12am on to 12 pm off, I dont know why, thats just when I did haha. Oh ya I remember now, because I wanted lights on when I was at home....and off when I was sleeping.

I think from what I read Pistils may or may not show/grow without 12/12 the lights. I guess it depends more on the strain, and age of the plant from seed, also is what Ive read or 6-7 nodes, or 30 days vegging or possibly more. But, once you see where these guys are talking about how to sex the plant, youll see it. Once you do know where to look, its on like donkey kong, and youll be able to spot a Female or Male very quickly.

Let her do the work for ya along with some Valentine love by you, papa. Alright man, good luck, c ya later.

That's looking a lot better now mate. Colour looks normal.
Before, at the beginning of the thread the thing looked so green it was almost black.
Definite over nuting. Sometimes too green is not good, and you'll start to see the tips curling down and burning.
Looks like you've got it under control with the nutes and your watering schedule.
Well done, good recovery.
I think she's gonna be a beauty!

someone said droopy leaves was from underwatering i think it is from overwatering though.. and if you ever have a nitr def the leaves will slowly turn yellow from the stalk to the leaf tips a very even yellow, not just the tips

Looks like the plants gonna be just fine. Just leave the nutes out for a bit and dont worry too much about the very lowest leaves turning yellow. When they very pale just pinch them off. Good luck with them mate.

Drooping can be from both, just a different sort of droop.

Over watering

Under watering

theres def a fine line between the two, i let my soil get pretty damn dry and i hose er down with some purified water. its better to be a little under rather than just rotting up her roots and making her look sad
