Is my girl too small

Hi, everyone, I'm new here, and new to growing, but I know the basics.
Now, I had two plants, and one was growing outside from the sun, but she had a little accident and got chopped in half at about 1 week old.
My second plant, who I've named Karin, is growing indoors.
She sprouted one week ago, but I planted the seed about two weeks ago.
Now what I'm wondering is, why is she so small?
My lighting setup is as follows
X1 23 Watt daylight CFL
X3 13 Watt Soft Whit CFL.
I use this to get a good spectrum. I have more lighting on the way, I will be adding a 45 watt CFl next week, and a 400 watt MH for flowering, but this plant is only about 1 inch tall in one week. The growth seems too little.
I water her about once every 2-3 days, and use nutrients every other watering. She is in Miracle-gro potting mix.
Am I just too worried about her?
I've included a pic.

sometimes MG is to much for a seedling..it can burn the plant up cause..salt build up..causing it to not get nutes..underwatering..over watering..
also your watering alot it seems.....you should water when its dry a couple inches down...

also you using nutes ..MG already has nutes in it..no need for more...and everytime you water..you are giving it nutes...when you water it releases nutes ..start over read a little more...
you said you are adding a MH for flowering..MH is best for VEG..and HPS is best for flowering..hope this helps

This is only an opinion based on observation of everyone in here, because i did it somewhat the same as you, mine are 9 days old and are JUST about 2 inches tall and have the 4 first leaves extened about half an inch.
The more light, the happier your plant.. i was running off sunlight for the past 7 days till i built my grow box, and already i notice better growth with more light than the sun could give it. These guys start the seeds in a cup with lights an inch and half to 2 and half inches away from the cup and give it tons of light during veg, so that is why we probably have smaller less developed plants plants

Sorry, don't see your pic.Welcome to RIU.First off, you don't need to give her nutes that young, especially since she's in miracle grow(if it's the kind with added nutes, which I think all miracle grow soil is).Since it only sprouted a week ago, technically, you only have a week old plant.Get the lights about three inches from her to avoid stretching.Water her when the soil is dry, and don't start nutes until three weeks at the very earliest, and always start at 1/4 the recommended strength.Be especially careful if the soil has added nutes..you could just water her and hold off on nutes for quite a while, you don't want nute burn. Also, HPS is generally used for flowering, though MH will work. Are you just using what you have?As the plant gets bigger, add more cfl's,all around the plant.Or, just use that mh for veg and flower, just be careful not to burn it.Hope this helped.Good luck.EDIT..pasted your link and looked at the plant...it just broke the soil, didn't it?Remember, all plants are different, they grow at different rates like people.Don't nute her, leave the cfls on her at least another week or so before you decide to veg with MH, if you are going to.

Thanks for the help guys. I will cut the nutes off and see if that helps.
It actually broke ground one week ago, first just one leaf, looked like a blade of grass, then the other leaf came slowly with it.
About the lighting, can MH not be used for flowering? I'm buying one soon since a guy in my area is selling them for $45 fully constructed. Honestly, a HPS would be nice, but I don't want to spend all that cash buying the ballast, and I know next to nothing about wiring, so it would have to be a prebuilt kit for $100 on ebay, and it would be a 250 watt.

You can use mh for flowering,it will work. Most folks just use Hps because it's more red, like the light you would see during the natural flowering season outdoors, and you're trying to mimic nature as closely as you can.But mh will work all the way through.

45 completely assembled, does that mean ballast, light bulb, reflector?
This is an option, since you said you want a 250 watt. It's an hps grow light, but it comes with a metal halide conversion bulb as well as an hps bulb.http://www.htgsupply.com/viewproduct.asp?productID=48631 If you've got the room, and the proper ventilation to keep it cool, the 400 watt equivalent is the same price, so I'd just go for that if price was what was keeping you from a bigger system.http://www.htgsupply.com/viewproduct.asp?productID=47981 Otherwise, if you really can get a complete setup for 45, and the guy is trustworthy, go for it.I'm just showing you a couple of options.

Yeah, these are complete setups with reflector, and mounting hardware, ready to grow. The guy is a bulk seller and has 70 of them, and is selling them cheap.
Since these are 400 watt, which is more power than that 250, and they're cheaper, I'll just get these, probably in a few weeks, and we'll see if that doesn't help my plant get bigger.

A 400, what I was saying was that I could only afford a 250 HPS, if I didn't buy from this guy.
Update on the plant, she looks a little bigger this afternoon, and her other leaf uncurled.

Update: Upon cutting the nutrients, and only spraying her with water instead of pouring water on her, she has grown. Now there is a new sprout coming out, and she will have 4 leaves soon.
