Thanks for the answers herb, Ill be starting my grow pretty soon now. I was wondering what can I do to control the smell? My grow will be in a PC grow box doing LST, the walls are sealed up with plastic and taped down with duct tape then mylar paper on the top of the plastic. Since Ill have a 80mm fan for exhaust what can I put on top of the fan to control the smell? Ill only be growing 1 plant right now and doing LST and keeping the lights low to keep the plant smaller. Im looking for a cheap way to filter the air, Ive seen carbon filters but is there any other way?

thanks for the reply on the air filters herb, but i never heard of the thing or the store he is referring to. Unless there is some other way, maybe some things you can find around a house? Im probably out of luck..

hey quick question. I'm going to do an outdoor grow with some autos, and wanted to get an early start. I have a cfl tube light 24 watt (2000 lumens) would that be enough for the first 15 days after germ? I know for a real indoor grow I would need 2000/ft2

All i want to know is..what would it take for a plant to be vibrant and healthy to nearly willted down to nothing in less than 24 hours..i did change the box they were in and moved the light up higher and attempted to put them on a 12/12 cycle in the past 24 hrs..but come on!!! i came home from work,, and BOOM they are nearly dead. HELP!

Alright I got a question for ya.

I heard that right before you harvest you have to leave your plants in complete darkness to let them use up all the chlorophyll, makes for a better taste. Is this true? And if so how long do they need to be in darkness?

1. IN my Veg setup i am running 4 T5 54W High-output Fluorescent Tube are these really good for Veg? Are they good for the full Veg stage?

2. I have a bluelab to test the PPm what is CF? and EC? what one should i be looking at. when i test the Tap water i am at 840ppm CF12 and 600ppm Ec 1.2 what the hell is this ? LOL that is my tap

3. i have a reverse-osmosis should i just use that ? this has NO reading on the Blue stick ?

i put nutes on a few of the ones that showed the sign of a def. i put super thrive on a few as well. i marked all the pots that are diffrent than the others. and last night i took all of the plantgro lights out(and the reveal) and switched em with 23wt cfls. so now theres 5 23wt cfls, 1 65wt cfl, 2 fl tube fixtures for sprouts. metallic wrapping paper on the walls, to reduce heat. and i replaced the bulbs mainly because my electric bill went up 60 bucks. i leave them on for 24hrs by the way. im thinking about getting some bloodmeal on wednesday for the nitrogen def. i also put insect soap on one of the plants 3 days ago, nothing changed but the problem hasnt gotten worse.

Ok thanks for the help. i read that you can get mh conversion lights so that you can swith it half way through to a more red/orange bulb. is this true?

So from what i've read so far for a basic grow room i need Heat/lights, soil, pots, fans to osilate the air and plant food for proper fertilization, anything else im missing for the basics? the room im growing in is realativly small probably 8'x8' How much light do plants need a day 8 hours? or 24 hours? and one last question for the moment when do i transfer my plant from the plastic cup in the kitchen to the grow room in the basement? after it gets its first 5 leafs i transplant it right?

herb was good bruh,question. I plan on vegging about 10-15 plants (hempy method) in 2liter soda bottles or 1 gal milk bottles, after this i plan on transfering over to 5 gallon buckets for flowering. My question is how many plants can i transfer over to the 5 gallon buckets? in others words can i bog like 2-3 plants that are in the smaller containers into the 5 gal one? if yes whats the max? my veg space is about 2x2x7, my flower space is 4x2x7
