Whenever I've smoked (all over Canada, from east to west) I've noticed it's puff puff pass if you're a group of pot-smokers, but as soon as there are a few non-pot smokers that just want one drag for some reason the rules change and it's more or less puff from 1 - 4ish times, just don't be a dick. Nobody ever calls out the one who's providing either.. they can hit as many times as they want as long as they don't bring you out in the cold to smoke with them, only for nothing!

I usually try to stick with the puff puff pass rule as much as possible, but if I'm supplying and my more "experienced" pot smoker friends take 3 or 4 I assume the rules are being forgotten for some reason and just go with the flow and puff till I'm happy.

well then i gotta throw in my two cents..
clockwise is a object starting at one point then moving left to right until it gets back to the starting point. just think if someone stood in the middle of a circle and pointing at the person with the blunt. in order for the blunt to stay in a clockwise manner it would have to be passed to the left.
