red spectrum light? what are the effects of putting it in ?

i have 5 26w 5700k cfls on my plants, im soon about to flower and so i bought myself a 40w cfl 2700k (three plants) i just bought the 40watter to add in when i flower im sure it will help a good deal. (just a low budget personal grow)

im just wondering what the effects are on the plant if i put it in there now , about a week before flowering?

Any supplemental lighting will be good, for such a small scale grow you won't notice the effects of the red spectrum lighting too much from a single 40w 2700k light
