Well, it was clear the babes needed to be flushed so I:
1. Took two hits of zippy Thai
and went for a run in a driving rain to inspire positive energy and good karma
2. Ran 3 volumes of dechlorinated water pH'ed to 6.5 thru each pot. I pH'ed the runoff at the end of the 3rd volume; actually was still about 6.0 even, but I left the last .5 point to step 3.
3. Added 1 tablespoon of surfacted calcium carbonate to each pot; worked it in about an inch, and watered it in just enough to activate it.
4. Left each pot up on a block to drain them as much as possible; didn't want to now shock them with saturation after a rough pH ride..
5. Put them back in their drain pans up on shims -- didn't want the ponded water sitting around the pot bottoms all evening for same reason as 4.
6. Clipped off all burned and yellowed leaves near or beyond 50% gone so they wouldn't feel fat or like their hair was ugly (you know how babes are...)
Now, time to sit back and see what happens.
I refrained from adding back any nutes right now. They are in MG pre-ferted soil, so I suspect there's enough residual nutrition in there to get them started again. Based on where the buds are now, I doubt I have more than 3-4 weeks left anyway.
I'll keep y'all posted.
