Why did you post this in the Do-It-Yourself board? This is for guides and walkthroughs. You might have better luck posting in the newbie or plant problems board.

How old is it? How tall is it? What strain is it? What sort of lighting are you using and in what wattage and how far away from the plants is your lighting? Have you fed your plants anything? If you cannot supply pictures at least go into as much detail as possible. Tell anything and everything about your setup and plants and soil mixture and pot size and type/color and temperatures and watering schedule etc., etc., etc. even if you think it may not be applicable because there may be some clue to be found in something you never would consider to be something that might be a problem and without pictures written clues will be all anyone has to go by and some short vague description just will not tell anyone half enough to be able to do more than guess and maybe even make several guesses that have totally different reasons for the cause behind them and that will in no way help you in the least.
For all the information you gave people who would be willing to help and be knowledgeable enough to be able to help might as well rely on a Magic 8 Ball or a Ouija Board or Tarot Cards to come up with a reply to your question.

I bet its either stretched, or its an indica dominant plant with little branching activity. You could try topping the plant to make it branch out and become more of a bush than a tree. Pics would really help here...

Some plants just don't branch out naturally. You'd have to top and train.

i think what he is experienceing are males thats how they grow with no branch stretch.
