co2 during flowering

Used you can get deals very easily, I got one tank for only $13.00,
new they cost about $120.00 to buy, or about $60.00 to lease.

Don't use co2 if your growing with cfl's, it just won't work, and home made co2 is just a waste of time in my opinion. Adding supplemental CO2 will benefit the plants only if they are CO2-limited. Which means that, at ambient CO2 levels, the canopy is light-saturated. This is pretty difficult to achieve with CFLs.

I have several tanks, but dryice is the best. Much better than a tank, and it also offers a cooling effect that is most helpful on your HID lighting. It also frosts up the buds nicely.

Co2 usage during vegging, can cut off about one week off of vegging, however it is most beneficial during flowering. During flowering is where it matters most.

just buy a Co2 bottle from walmart, in the paintballing supplies, and goto a paintball store or online and buy an on/off valve for Co2 tanks, then you can just use a small bottle with a little valve to let out small amount of Co2 around you plants...

My 20 lb tank that I just bought lasted me for about 3 days. Your talking about, largest a 20 OUNCE tank. It just wouldnt be effective, unless you were doing a Micro-Grow. Just my opinion.

No, not really, a 20lb block of dry ice lasted me 10 hours of constant co2. You arent supposed ot leave the tank on ALL the time. 15 minutes every two hours is sufficient for my grow.

Dry ice ?? Come on now, you have no way of regulating the exact amounts of c02. What readings on c02 are you getting?? If your going to do it, do it right. Get the tanks, and do the math on figuring out exactly how many PPM's your putting into the air. Don't just throw blocks of ice in there and expect miracles. You all keep putting dry ice in your rooms...lol. Thank you abudsmoker for showing the right way to do this!

Im gussing in the last pic next the nice lookn bud,theres a little brass tip it looks like that's where the co2 is releasing,why down by the roots? and looks like the guage is readn 800 what's it purpose? and why the 110/vlt? is the manometer for the tank level?, abudsmoker lookn like u got ya a liitle nute burn or splash somethin.oops!

maybe he's got sum kinda trick with the dry ice but only 10 hours that means u would have to add ice daily..ohno..in my small 12sqft grow that's imposible thaxs for heads up.

that goes up to a ring on the ceiling and falls down over the plants. there is 3 fans mixing the air so when if falls it is mixed very very well.

and the tank pressure is 800 @ 71F that tells me how much liquid i have left in the tank. a tank will hold a steady pressure until the liquid is used up. then the pressure will fall very fast. mt 10x10 x7 sucks down 20 lbs every 4 days.

in bulk i pay 8.88 a tank for the gas......

You have no idea what you are saying at all.
No-one is guessing at anything.

Dry ice is simple to regulate, one pound of dry ice will produce 8.7 cubic feet of gaseous CO2. You’ll need to provide about .04 cubic feet of CO2 to the garden per day for every cubic foot of grow space. That means that a 1 pound block of dry ice will provide one days coverage for a 217 cubic foot garden, which is slightly larger than a 5’ x 5’ x 8’ area.

Speaking from exerience, and I have several tanks myself, I would prefer the dryice over the tanks anyday of the week, for several reasons.

I guess when you dont understand something, its easier to try to blow it down, rather than ask for help.
