Fox Farm Nutes

I ordered 10 female white dwarfs yesterday to plant outdoor next week. I am useing ff products for the first time. I am thinking for the auto flowers to just use bloom nutes. what do you think? I have also heard not to go by the bottle instructions. The grow big says 1 teaspoon per gallon wich sounds low to me. im not sure how much big bloom and tiger bloom to add per gallon either. I will be watering evrey day. Can someone tell me the right amount for these nutes? Thanks!

I just had a go-round with FF Grow Big and Tiger Bloom indoors. I was using them at 3 tsp per gallon.. too much. Dropped the pH like a bomb and really messed up my plants. Starting at 1/4 strength might be a good benchmark; seen a lot of good growers say don't give any nutes until you see the first signs of a deficiency -- I think I've become a subscriber to this.

A professional soil test can often be had from a University extension for really low cost -- this will tell you exactly what you're starting out with, and give you a heads-up as to what might turn up short as your plants draw from the soil.

If your in ffof I would not use any nute until you need it; then probably just big bloom...... but I 've not done any auto's so cant say for sure. But most definately as Kriegs says and go way low..... I dont think I've ever used their full dose per schedule, except the Big Bloom.....

just my $0.02.... good luck to you!

They all have individual amounts that are seperate. So do about half strength per the amount on the back of each bottle. Mix them in an empty gallon container. Then when you go to water your plants mix the half strength with half water and start them at quarter strength. See how they take that and if they burn hlod it there nad then work up if they don't over successive feedings. Thats what works for me.

i use ff and this has been my magic potion, when they are small since i grow in coco i have to add nutes right away but if your in soil you can probably skip this part, i mix a gallon with 3 tsp grow big (15ml) and 2 tbsp big bloom (30 ml) in a gallon of water that i have already ph'd to 6.3-6.5 then when they are small ill pour it in a cup 1/4 full then top off with water giving you 1/4 strength, then the next week or so when they have a few more sets of leaves go to half strength or 3/4 then on to full, my best potion that im using right now is the fox farm with 2 tsp general hydroponics vegan compost and 2 tsp diamond nectar, it sounds a little strange but its kicking ass so far

You need to use grow and bloom nutes whether it is a auto or not. Just because you don't trigger flowering doesn't mean the plant doesn't have a vegetative phase. It certainly does...just like any other plant.

Thanks guys. Im thinking on the autos to give them grow big for 10 days and then swith to a tiger bloom big bloom mixture.

I use my ppm meter to add f/f nutes.I mix up the water as the bottle says then add more water to hit the ppm I want.Last feeding put me at 850ppm.Next we'll bump that up to say 1000ppm which should be close to full strenght.I started out with 500ppm of grow big at 4 weeks from beans. Each feeding I bump it up some.I start the bloom reg on the next feeding and will shoot for the 1000ppm mark.I ph my nutes/water after I mix my nutes and keep that to 6.8 in soil.

I am happy with the ff so far, 3wks in. This is my first hydro gro, so its kinda experimental(good bag seeds).... I started at about 300ppm and was going to bring it up slow but plants started to yellow and leaves saggin. so i bumped up the nutes, fairly quickly, and now at 3wks im at 1100ppm. They are lovin it, healthy and growin like crazy!! tons of roots and thick stalks!!!
