[Update Day 33 in Veg]
Week 4 of Veg and I decided to "Supercrop" two of my bigger girls. The tallest was almost 17" while my smaller girls are only around 8-11". This dropped my canopy height down from 18" to around 12", so I should get more even light distribution now.
Also reconfigured/moved em around a bit to get the most even spacing for a level canopy. SSH takes 11 weeks to flower, so I can harvest every 11 weeks with my setup. I figure 3 Weeks in the Clone phase, 8 weeks in Vegetation, Then 11 weeks in Flower. Then I will have a continual harvest every 11 weeks, or about 3 months.
With my longer vegetative state of 8 weeks, this gives me alot of time to supercrop and top/fim my plants to maximize the most Oz's per plant with my 6 plant limit. This also will keep the height down on these tall stretchy sativa dominants.
Oh yeah, I started useing my space heater to keep my closet warmer at night and this has helped. I diluted the nute solution from 1900+ to about 1500 and the plants are likeing it.
The supercropping looks like sh1t right now cause the plant hasn't righted itself towards the light yet. But I'll take another pick in a couple days and show you the difference, fingers crossed!
that's fine, a little yellowing or withering/drooping, or some other signs of stress. supercroping is a fairly low stress training method, but there is still some stress, not enough to be bad, so you'll see some signs, depending on how much you do in how short of a time...take your time about doing supercropping, little by little is best. they're lookin goodThere's a thread devoted to it here: https://www.rollitup.org/advanced-marijuana-cultivation/136974-super-cropping.html
Everyone who has tried it has never gone back, so that's good enough for me!
It's great if you have a long veg period, you only wanna do this type of stuff during veg and never in flower, no hermies!
[Update Day 34 in Veg]
After 24 hours since the "supercropping", the plants are doing fine. Notice how all the leaves are facing the light now, I'm amazed at how fast these lesbo's can recover (yes, that's right, my girls are hot lesbians ).
Anywho's check the pics, got a close up of my biggest girl. You can see the nice bend and how many more cola's it's gonna produce now.
Threw a pirate skull in there cause I like buried treasure, I'm kinda medicated right now so ... yea
Thanks for the comments.P.S. Your setup reminds me of my first attempt at this.. Cabnet style that was customized by me and shit... after seeing the results in the square footage i decided to go bigger for flowering... So i ended up using the cab for cloning and vegging.. I forsee somthing similar by for you by the time you finish this grow...
that'll be a sweet flower area...when you gonna flower? 4 more days for me. I'll show you one of the SSH now, you can see more on my page. Thanks for the comments.
I have a separate area for my flowering, what u see in my pics is a homemade cab/tent used for my Clones and Vegging plants only. No way I would try and flower in that tiny thing!
Yea for flower I got a 2.5'x4' area thats 8' tall. Gonna use a single 600 watter for this. No Co2 for now, maybe in a grow or two.
I'll think about trying quicker strains after a couple grows, If SSH is as good as everyone says, I might not want anything else
keep up the good work. looks like you're doin six o them SSH robo?? damn mold...but you really licked it's ass, lol, kicked, kicked it's ass! I'm sure the milk did the trick. I'm lookin forward to seein our SSH buds, being...buds, haha. and getin cyber high together. you smoke there, I'll smoke here, lol. <---SSH[Update Day 42 in Veg]
I topped all of the plants about 3 days ago and they have all sprouted new shoots. I supercropped the other two as well and had to use some rope to keep the bends from straightening. All the girls are into bondage apparently.
I did a res change two days ago. Now on 1,200 ppm's for nutes (I had nute burn in the 1800+ range). Also I was noticing some white fuzzy crap settling on the leaves. I thought it was dust but turns out it was some type of mold. So I did a 9 parts H20 1 part Milk foliar spray directly on all the leaves. Added a oscilating fan as well to keep air movement. The mold was caused by high humidy and stagnant air, so I added air flow and killed the mold with the spray. Hopefully there is no root rot from the mold growth, this is my first real hiccup.
I wanna let the plants heal/recover from all the stress of the supercropping/topping and the mold attach before I start to flower. I also wanna make sure the mold is dead and gone first, I don't want moldy buds.
If it comes back, then I will go for some Neem Oil spray, but I'v read great things about milks abaility to kill mold.
Canopy is like 13" tall, pretty even level thanks to my pruning. I say 1-2 more weeks then I start flowering, can't wait!!!
Bummer... the website I order stuff from has $50 recyclers (non adj.) and $70 adjustable recyclers. They have great prices on other stuff too, might want to check it out. And no I don't work for them (if I did I would have a better grow room). So I got a 100$ Recycle timer set at 1/5 now.
I can't wait, all this teasing talking about your plants. We want to see some green, hahaPost pics later...
