I will go find it in a min, and yes my avatar is my best plant from my first grow. She was only about 22 inches and only yielded about 3/4 of an oz dry. So I guess she wasnt so great But I was very happy with the results for my very first time growing anything other then my hair!

why is correcting ph in soil so important when soil itself is a ph buffer?

and also, if your using organics instead of soil do you have to correct the ph? I understand if its chemical. Someone fill me in here.

I have only been concerned with water ph but if you have un balanced ph in soil you can be ion your way to a nute block in some cases................

Not to hijack but what is the best way to test soil ph? I have a rapitest and I think it is about as useless as tits on a boar. I have both ph test strips and an aquarium vial test kit. Broke my digital meter(glass electrode is very very fragile).

ok if you have a accurate way to test the water ph you can do this.................

pour some plain water through your soil and collect the run of from the bottom and then test that water. It is a cheap way to do it . I have some pics of all my ph testing stuff and adjusters...........

good luck

That is where I get confused. What do you mean by plain water? I really don't want to water my plants with water that is not ph adjusted? Sorry for being a dummy but sometimes I need things spelled out.
