my ph is about 6.8 or 6.9 . now the tips of some of my fan leaves are turning yellow ans some are burning a little...is this due to ph? temp? or the miricle grow?

you can use regular white vinigar , it depends on the ph level

baking soda will rise the ph level

for soil its recomended to stay around 6.5 ph

Its nute burn from the miracle grow. You are growing in dirt... dont worry about your PH so much.
Start adding vinigar to your plant and you'll kill it for sure.

just give her plain water for a few days

You can add a few DROPS to a gallon of water to lower its ph - no more!

DO NOT try to lower the pH of MG soil; it comes out of the bag right on the money. It also has a tendency to go acid over time, but you have awhile b4 you have to worry bout that.

What you want to do is buffer your soil on the "up" side. Looks like you're in 1-gallon pots? Add 2 tsp of dolomite or calcium carbonate lime for every gallon of soil -- work it in about an inch. This will offset a decline in pH that will occur naturally in your soil as your plants process the nutes in it, but it won't raise it. Happy to give a chemistry lesson if you want to know why..

MG soil is great for growing weed -- don't listen to bullshit. But, it will burn little seedlings a bit -- it just has a little more nutes in in than they need. But then, so does Foxfarm Ocean Forest, which people fall to their knees over and pay $25 a bag for.

Just stick it out.. above all, don't overwater. They'll pull thru.

Good luck.

Please correct me if I am wrong but if you plant your seeds in Peat pucks then wait till roots brake through they should be old enough for when you plant them in MG soil they shouldn't get to much nutes since they would have a nice growth before planting

Great minds think alike.. that's pretty close to what I plan to do next time around. I'm going to fill my pots with fresh MG, then hollow out a 4-5" hole in the center and fill it with nute-free seedling starter soil. They'll grow out their first couple weeks in the starter then, boom.. hit the MG and off and running.

If you want you can check out my grow journal , leave a comment and subscribe if you want. I'm using the Peat pucks for my starting medium for my seedlings and when I start taking clones speeking of seedlings I already have around 10+ that cracked open and have a taproot showing and it hasn't even been 12 hours bongsmilie
