The idea that all of the vitriol is directed toward workers as the cause of the problem is simply laughable. A non-profitable, failing company is a non-profitable failing company no matter what its employee pay structure is like. But I find it interesting that nobody seems to be directing any hatred or anger toward the rate of pay of CEOs and executives who dont produce anything, but collect a very hansom salary on the backs of workers who actually do the work. The average salary of CEOs is now more than 821 times that of minimum wage workers and more than 262 times that of the average worker (both unionized and non-unionized). I certainly don't blame the workers...I do blame the unions however which are parasitic in nature.
When I want in a share in the profits of a corporation I purchase shares in that corporation instead of demanding that I get more pay, and more benefits for the same amount of work.

since I live in tenn about 6 miles from the nissan plant and 27 miles from GM plant, I know several folks that work at both plants. the people at nissan make more than the guys at the traverse plant. what's your point?Since No one would show up to work for a dollar an hour...it's a moot point.

They also give their employees profit sharing, don't see them asking for bailout either . . . .My point is there is a 38 dollar PER HOUR difference between union and non union auto jobs....making union cars inherently more expensive to purchase...it's self defeating.

unions will only hamper our recovery, not help it. It is becoming clear that Obama either doesn't know how to help us or he doesn't want to. Either scenario will end our republic if it continues unabated for four years.

as we speak Detroit has to add about 3800 bucks to EVERY car it MAKES (not sells) to pay for 178000 pensioners. That's a hole of which one needs a VERY BIG shovel to get out of.
