Is it safe to prune some of the fan leaves that are getting in the way and blocking bud sites?????

yes it is safe, but debated quite a bit on this site as to whether it is more beneficial vs harmful to production.

try moving the fan leaves under or around the budding sites. i don't know if you could do it to all the fan leaves,but its better than cutting or pruning the leaf.
that is what i do.

yeah..something about it needing the sugars from the fan leaves...i've seen people cut like half a leaf before..i guess that would kinda make since....it would still get some of the sugars from the leaves

No its not safe ur plant needs em just tie them down

Dude you can definately trim off as many fan leaves as you want, especially the ones getting in the way....check out my grow, i have trimmed mine 4 times and each time has been a pile of leaves....for example...

and this is how my plants are looking right now

I am a definate believer that trimming leaves away has little to no effect on the plants as you can see....i will prob be trimming them again here in a couple days

I also belive that has long has none of the small leaves at the coala arnt touched and justfan leaves are it boes not cause no problems i do itfor better air circlation but never touch plants past week 3.i will only take bright yellow leaves off.
