thinking of a 30 plant outdoor grow. ima be digging 2 1/2feet wide and 3 feet deep holes for each plant. what soil mixture should i used and how many bags of it should i get?

You're going to dig 30 holes that big?! That's a lot of volume and work! Are you related to the brown dirt warrior? JK I hope you're planting clones or feminized seeds cause that's a lot of elbow grease, start diggin'!

could i go with smaller holes? i want big plants..

good luck thats alot of work

i dug 3 holes like 1 foot by 1 foot about 3-4 feet deep and that shit took me over an hour lol

Don't worry about how wide the holes are just dig them deeper, plants grow bigger when the roots grow down

thats what i thought also and that why my holes are 4x deeper than they are wide lol.

hey can someone tell us hole diggers if we should mix perlite or something like that in with the soil just like we would with a plant in a pot?

1 hole i allready filled with perlite/soil mix inside a trash bag in it to keep other plants roots from fucking with it but the other 2 i just left empty because i really dont know yet lol

Why would you do that? I have never heard of that method....Honestly I find that plants grow better when planted directly into the ground(no soil mixing) just dig and plant, whenever I put soil in they tend to get dug-up by animals..

its in my yard and will be fenced off from my 2 dogs:joint:or else they would for sure dig them up .

and dosnt it make sense that if you dig a big ass hole and fill it with like 10 gallons of supreme soil that they would have lots of room to grow!

desperate for what? and what mess? lol you got me confused..

she spammed the board with her lame link. i had to go thru and find them all.

desperate for new members that they have to continuously come here seeking them. it's really friggin' sad.

what is the native soil like? i mix a little potting soil and perlite with the native soil and call it good. are there other plants nearby that grow well? :eyesmoke:

very hard and full of clay not many plants thrive around here. could i mix like you did or should i just dig and replace the soil?

i mixed, but my soil is really rich and healthy. you'd be surprised how many huge bags of soil it takes to fill a seemingly small sized hole. :bigjoint:

i added some "clay amender" to my soil. we have a lot of clay as well. i also throw all my used soil out there.

if it in your yard you HAVE TO go rent a gas auger/ fencepost digger with a 8 or 10 inch drill. It'll cost about 50 buck and take you an hour oryou can spend 2 or three day diggin in your clay you choose
