I am using 8 23 watt cfl's along with 4 t5's and I get a good amount of heat.
I am using a piece of glass to help shield some of the heat. It helps me to keep the lights closer to my plants. here is a link to my jurnal about how I handled my problems. closet issues???

geeezus thats a lotta light!! i think that much light might cause you some heat problems and i think your supposed to use the 23's if im not correct, then switch off to the 42's when flowering... just a thought
