nearly 4 weeks...lower leaves a bit yellow

Guys leaves a little yellow at the bottom and were a little curled today when i woke up... Is it worth pulling these leaves off or is that a bad idea... Im a newbie so all help appreciated thx.

Put them in bigger pots - water less often. the leaves will fall off on their own when it is time.

let the soil dry out and then transplant into bigger potters.....trim the yellow leaves during your transplant.

Im using good soil with perlite in it, looks like a nitrogen deficiency to me from what i have read up on - im watering once a day when the soil gets dry and im using fertiliser with a low concentration every second watering (2ml per L)

Dude 3 people tell you to transplant...we are all wrong ....no

Take 10 seconds and look at your rootball..... Pop out your rootball out of the potter ...if you can see roots on the bottom and sides ......its time

Stick those in a 8-10inch potters they will take off and green up.

Always let your soil dry out inbetween waterings....dont keep your soil constantly wet.

As a general rule....To avoid a nute lock only use 1/2 the of fertilizer the directions call for.... your using fertilizer so a nitro def is not the problem

nute lock is basically a salt build up in the soil from the fert... to get rid of it flush your soil with water ...usually water will come out light brown with a nute lock........ flush the rootball until clear water comes out of the root ball

yes it doe.s but if you flush it out and its still looks like that or gets worse then you no for sure its nut deficiency, then you can start adding huts. but if its somthing else and you feed them chances are your going to kill them.good luck in what ever you decide.

Shit im worried now lol... ill have a look at the rootballs... only reason i havent transpalnted yet is im going from this size to massive pots. As for the nute lock... this is all new to me... like i say i use fert at half concentration every other watering... what i have found is that when i do use water only on them it does still come out kinda brow at the bottom... is this the nute lock you were talking about?

If so whats the problem am i fertilising too much - is it to do with the plant?

How do i go about safely flushing and i definitley dont want to kill my babies...

ant time you use a soil with ferts in it and you feed on top of that cances are your going to get nut. burn. water with ph'edwater for a few days.

usualy comes out brown hhmmm I use biobizz range and it turns the water brown as soon as i add it to the water and thats only usein half the recomended n 4 weeks old n still in them we pots I agree with the others when they say change ur pots asap cause thats wat ur problem is nothing ta do with nutes prob root bound to the ballacks after 4 weeks in them we pots and again come out brown if ya flush it m8 its soil of coarse its gona come out brown

Im gonna check the roots when they dry out a bit...

I use biobizz too and i know what u mean about the water going brown but should it not come out clear when properly flushed though.

Ill check the roots tho as a priority and im just gonna use water for the forseeable future.

Ok so ive checked them out and the roots were starting to wind round the bottom of the pots a bit

so ive taken your advice and re-potted into bigger containers (these were the only other size i had) - they look a bit lonely in there just now but im sure they will grow to love their new space

Ill keep you posted on how everything is going

you will probably only have to water once or twice a week.....let the dirt dry out...then water it really good....next time you water use some fertilizer.

I use greenleaves grow juice...... http://www.hydroponicequipment.com/detail.asp?itemnumber=1563 when you add the fertlizer to water it changes color to show your PH level ...they have boost and bloom juice too

when you take to long to transfer... the same thing happens to the plant that you might mistake as nitro def...

"Pumping" is when you use more waterings to make the plants grow faster. This is dangerous if you proceed in a reckless manner, due to potential over-watering problems. You must go slowly and watch the plants daily at first to be sure your not over-watering the plants. Use weaker plant food mixtures than normal, maybe 25%, and be sure your leaching once a month and running straight water through the plants at least every other time you water. This applies mainly to plants grown in soil mediums. this is just a we thing outa my years off trailin through the net n trail n error on my part so i can say it works a charm some times to good fuckin plants grow like mofos well hope its off use to some1
