alright so ive been hearing that putting your seed in a baggie with banana peels for 1-4 weeks will feminize them ( the longer there in there for the bedder chance of them being female)

soooo im wondering if any of you have heard this and if it is true



my seeds have been in there for about 3 weeks

I'm pretty sure its a myth so no one has confirmed whether or not it works. You should make sure to post your results though.

all that will do is rot your seeds out if the peel is wet...
And I think that's a myth too, buy feminized seeds if you want all fems

Ok it is not necessarily a flat out myth....

when a banana peel degrades it gives of ethylene gas....

Ethylene gas is known to make feminized seeds in other plats....Cucumbers is one of the ones I remember reading about....
There is some truth to ethylene gas making feminized seeds....not necessarily marijuana but it IS possible.....

ive heard of this before but it just sounds so far fetched that ive never really looked that much into it. i dunno if its true but ive always felt that the genetics determine the sex of marijuana so as soon as it pops out of the bud the sex is already determined. i didnt think that you could change it

well im 100% sure that you can feminize seeds because there was and article on it in High Times

you gotta stress the seeds or some shit by spraying somthing on them or something like that

my friend has the magazine, maybe ill take a zoomed in pic of the article so you can read it orrrrrr just find the article online.

You were unaware that there is such a thing as feminized seeds?
He never said anything about banana peels or ethylene gas...

Im pretty sure he was talking about colloidal silver which is proven to work....

haha im very aware of feminized seeds. they do me very well. mr gonzo made it seem that you can change the sex of the seeds after they have popped out of the bud. i know that the silver will work but it has to be in the plant. and you can also stress a female plant to herm to produce nothing but female seeds. so im saying that i didnt think it was possible to change the sex of the seed after it has left the bud.

It may or may not be possible....

Look up ethylene gas......Im in no way saying it will work but there might be something to it......

I just don't like seeing people telling this guy "No its completely a myth there is no way" when they really have no idea they just don't think there isn't a way......Maybe there is and we haven't found it? idk but ethylene gas is the closest thing to feminizing seeds after they have left the bud so In my opinion that simple fact makes it worth looking into and not just writing it off as a "myth"

high times is always right:roll::roll:

giberelic acid or sum shit like that is what they use


thers a huge thread on it here on rollitup where some ppl tried the peels with posative results do your own experiment you have nothing to loose. just change the peel every 5 days and dnt let em build too much moisture in the bag maybe evan put a paper towel on top of the peel to keep the seeds from touching
