AK47 first indoor grow

Yes Mr. B, I took these mothers to be from her in the middle of February, she has all the good qualities for my little setup.

Houston we have a female! The biggest of the plants (right rear) is a girl, none of the others have shown sex yet, I have a feeling that the one on the left is male but we'll see. One of the clones' roots popped today so I put it into the tub, I didn't label the clones so it's 50-50 it's female. All the plants continue to grow about an inch a day and they're beginning to suck up water. The younger aks in the tub don't seem to mind the full nutes at all. I took 2 of the bagseeds that had shown stress from the ph problem in the bubbler and put them out side in pots.
1) The clan today, the clone that rooted today is on the lower right
2) The mothers to be are asking for more light, I've been procrastinating the construction of the other cfl rig but I have to get on it

Yeah one's enough for my needs, I took 2 in case 1 didn't make it, I'll probably send one to flower when it gets big enough. It was a bummer that I had problems germin at the beginning but once the mommy is established then things should go smooth. I've been keeping up with your grow but post more pics bro!

i would post up more but my digi cam take Duracell AA batteries and kills them within a few shots, so it gets very expensive for me if i was to take shot all the time. I tried to talk my bro into sending me his cam which is way nicer quality and has rechargeable battery!! he kinda agreed to it so i might have better pics more often in a few weeks unless he decides not to send me it

That wasn't my problem, originally I germed in a covered coffee mug, the beans were new so they didn't crack well, I had better results in paper towels with the next set and the bag seeds all sprouted. I was just visiting the clan and for sure the two aks on the left have nads. I don't know yet with the last one but looks like I'll be wacking the tall one and possibly harvest some pollen from the smaller male that has shorter internodes. I would get some clones from the tall female but I want the short and bushy type so I'll have to wait on the moms to be to fulfill that.

Well, just as suspected the other ak was a male, I repotted him to soil and threw his butt outside, he's short and bushy so I may breed him later. There is still one of the aks that hasn't shown sex. I sure hope it's a female. The mothers to be continue growing nicely.
1) I put the rest of the clones in the tub, too bad I didn't label them cause 2 are male. The ak in the right front refuses to show sex yet. The littler aks on the left are stretching for the light and now the clones will be doing the same.
2) the mothers to be, can't wait to get their cuttings going for a full harvest.
3) the bag seed in the bubbler., the little guy in the front right is a sibling of the 3 in the tub, it had a rough start but is hanging on.

Yeah Mr Bitti, there is a glimmer of hope, this AM I visited and saw one off shoot that had twin hairs, I need confirmation but I'd say the probabilities are 85% female, woohoooo, I'll be cloning today so I can have an in between crop. I was getting bummed out that the yield on this cycle wouldn't carry me to the next one. So Mr B are you saying that those 2 ladies that were in your cab were from a previous grow? How was the smoke?

I had two very different nugs at the end, one was fluffy and with mostly clear trichs so it wasnt very mature. That plant was a little harsh and smell and taste never came on very strong. The other girls was way more mature with very dense nugs. Great piney/spicy smell and taste and the high was also very nice not couchlock but very stoney and energetic at the same time. It was 2 bagseeds, basically a run to test my cab out and get it dialed in. When i actually get it right, its not big enough lol. I should be in the new area by tonight man ill try to get pics up. And hell yes!!! that bushy ak looks like the girl of my dreams tall and bushy!! glad she came thru for you, cut up some clones for sure bro

I hear you man. I traded some of my last grow so I could have some variety and I did a bad trade. That's why I keep tapping into the the lil lady in the pot, even premature she kicks booty, no more trades for me! I bought a magnifying glass and took these today.
Pics 1 & 2- tops from the lil lady
3- this is the plant that doesn't want to come out of the closet, this fooled me into thinking it was female but notice that those hairs are crossing so it's wait n see.
4- the big female in the back, I'm considering snapping the stem so I can lower the light, I only have about 12 inches of top to play with now.

The AK is starting to form some of those really dense calyxes it's known for already, can't wait to see the progress in two more week even. Keep it up mate, +Rep for your efforts

Yes, your grow is really coming along nice!! +rep4u! I too think you'll be very happy with that AK.......speaking of which, who's the breeder; I didn't notice that you said anywhere. I am waiting for a batch to show sex now myself(Serious Seed).

Thanks for the +rep, the beans came from serious also. I've been growing this strain outdoors for several years (veg indoors and flower outdoors in the winter time). Each of those years I selectively bred short males with short bushy females but I haven't been able to create a 100 % short plant which is what I would like. Good luck with your grow, are you doing soil or hydro?

I am 100% hydro anymore(flood/drain tables and 55 sites of aero/nft).
I love doing the outdoor in the summer too but haven't in the last couple of years for fear of bringing mites back inside(again); plus we lose so much due to early fall weather and mold.....<-----that hurts!
But this AK47 from Serious......I've watched a few grows of her on here and she's what I want! I am giving up about 4 other strains if she comes through. I have an awesome SS pheno that I 've been running for about 4-5 years and it is the best producer I've had, and very potent. I would like to just run that and this AK if things go right........ but I hate to throw any phenos out.......(MoonFlower, Northernberry, NL, Mazar x Afghan, BC Bud<--from '90, WW<--G13 Labs) But they're all 'just-the-same-stuff' that I 've been running for years, good though they are. So I am considering a seed run with a few of these. I have picked a great short stalky AK male as the pollen donor. I know I need to keep my MoonFlower as it is my personal fav smoke......but I hate growing it as it has such spindly skinny stems and is a bitch to trim----the AK might really help here... We'll just have to see---I 've yet to do any breeding(if you have any secrets you want to share
). I took over a BC Bud mother in the winter of '95 and I am the only person I know of to still have one of the original strains of BC Bud("Chronic") phenos. Oh well, I 'll quit hijacking your thread
