Hey guys I have decided to start my first grow. I will be growing the strain Blue Cheese from big buddha seeds. I am using a closet and my basic set up is this.

I will be growing 4 to 6 plants

I will be using a drip system which will have an automatic timer, 400 watt MH bulb for vegetative and a HPS for flowering which also will have a automatic timer, and a fan. I would appreciate any help with this as I do it, I will update this thread with pictures and how it is going, any tips, and I mean any tips would really be helpful thanks so much!!!!:leaf:

Sounds like a trip. Look into an exhaust and possibly intake not just fans in the room. I'd stick to 4, 6 is nice but i think yeild will be larger with the increased light penetration.

I need help on germination so if someone knows an effective way to germinate seeds then let me know and by the way i will be using a soil medium can anyone suggest a very good soil mixture?

find a hot, high humidity place. get a heating pad, put it on low. find cups, pots etc. put seeds in cups, place cups on pad and wa la.

or do the paper towl, warm place method. but i like the soil mixture one.

yes but it has to be small pots. put soil in the small pots. grab a pen or pencil. stick it in maybe an inch. drop the seed in. cover it up. moisten the soil up. and put them on the pad. takes mine usually 5 days to pop

when they get a bit bigger later on thats when i transplant to a bigger pot.

My closets dimensions are 6 feet by 3 feet, and the ceiling is sloped from about 3 feet to 8 feet. I want to yield as much as possible for this grow. How many plants do yall think I should grow to yield as much as possible? The pots will be the only thing in the closet, the resevior will be outside so i can use all of the space for plants.

I am grabbing my seeds from a friend tonight. I had them shipped to his house and he says he got them! This includes of course BB Blue Cheese and I'm going to get it going here pretty soon.

The "getting it going" this time won't be as exciting. I'm just going to germ 4 seeds and see if I can find a suitable mother. I'm going to do this with a few strains I ordered and see what I like/don't like about each strain and eventually I'll start some full on batches.

well your real limit is your light, in a perfect world you would run 2 600's in there air cooled, that would give you your best bang, with a 400 i really would not use more than half the closet or 3x3, the tall end of course, or if you could get your hands on a single 600 to add to your 400 then that would be killer to, your closet is basicly 2 square meters more or less, a 400 will cover one sq meter good and a 600 is best, being there is such a drastic slope in your closet i would go with more smaller plants as opposed to larger ones, in theory you could squeeze 24 small plants in there in like 1 gallon pots, that would be 1 plant per sq foot, but honestly thats a lot of work, i think your best would be to go with about 1000 watts of hps light and 12 plants in 2-3 gallon pots, you could pull a pound out of that area easily without over crowding

I dont think I can go higher than a 600 watt, what do you think I can do to make the most out of using that?
