Hey everyone! I welcome any advice, questions, input, etc...This is round 2 of my next grow of 2 Snow White and 2 Supergirl. This grow began on 3/10/09. My first grow was a little rough with the SLS nutes, so this time I'll be using Advanced Nutrients Grow-Micro-Bloom (GMB), Big Bud Bloom Booster Powder, Overdrive and Grandma Enggy's F-1 Fulvic Acid.

AN recommends these amounts for seedlings based on my reservoir size:

15.14mL Grow
15.14mL Micro
15.14mL Bloom
7.57mL Grandma Enggy's F-1 Fulvic Acid

This cocktail keeps the PPM at 250 and the pH is 5.6. And these ladies are sitting underneath a 400w MH Bulb. Thanks for stopping by :peace:

Dunno I'd raise it that much that early... I would wait for them to get at least twice as big as they are now before I upped the nutes to 500. Probably bigger.

Be careful not to burn them buddy. Looks good so far!

Thanks for the post, but I already changed the Res on 3/17/09 :wall: The amount I put in was supposed to raise the nutes to 500, but it only went up to 290 or so. So I added additional nutes on 3/18/09 in the evening and it's around 390 now 8 days into the seedling stage.

So I hope that I didn't burn them, because that is the problem I had with the last grow using the SLS nutes and SNG.

3/17/09 signified 8 days in the seedling stage and res change.

AN recommends these amounts for the seedlings in week 2 based on my reservoir size:

22.71mL Grow
22.71mL Micro
22.71mL Bloom
11.36mL Grandma Enggy's F-1 Fulvic Acid

This cocktail is supposed to keep the PPM at 500. I checked the PPM on 3/18/09 in the evening and it was just a little over 290 or so. This is a full day after I changed the Res. I am little confused because I initially added a higher amount of nutes when I changed the Res. So I added an additional:

8mL Grow
8mL Micro
8mL Bloom

**I hope I'm not burning these ladies**

Thanks for stopping by :peace:

These pics are from 3/17/09 after the Res change

These pics are from this evening and today marks two weeks in the seedling stage. Unfortunately, I have some nutrient burn. I don't know if it's the cause, but I used the Advanced Nutrients Calculator for Rooted Clones/Seedlings. I'm changing the reservoir tomorrow and converting to the Vegetative Growth Calculator which says raise the PPM to 800. The PPM is currently 342 with nute burn and it's supposed to be at 500. **Any advice or opinions are greatly appreciated**:joint:

Here are the numbers:
ppm 342
pH 5.6
Light is 16 in. above tallest plant
Cool Cab/Room Temp 86/69
Humidity 28%

Hey true,

I have the exact same cab and have 6 growing (3 Blueberry, 1 NL and 2 WW) only 3 days after you.

Here are the stats that work with this cab from experience:

PH: (pH everything; tub water, res. water, SNG, etc.)
Start to Finish exactly 5.8

Seeds/Germination/Cloning:
(10-14 days for good rooting)
PPM: 100-250 (I keep mine @ 200)

Veg/@10-14 days (3"-6" range):
PPM: 300-500

1. I start/keep mine @ 350 for 7 days into veg.

2. At day 7 of veg I up them to 500. They will stay @ 500 until day 28 of veg/hps switch.

3. At day 28 of veg I raise it to 800-1000 ppm. I start @ 800 and gradually increase up to flowering time. I also switch to HPS.

4. When I start to bud (FLOWER) I am at around 1400. I start by taking it up slowly by 100ppm per day.

FLOWER WHEN YOU GOT (4) FOUR NODES UP.

Here's the ranges for us:
0– 2” = 100-200 PPM, 3-6”= 300-500 PPM, 7-15” = 600-1000 and 16+=1200-1500

After the hairs on my buds get 1/4 red I stop feeding the plant nutrients and just give them pure water.

I cut my plants down when 2/3 the hairs turn red.

I am keeping an eye on this grow as I did your previous - you are getting there my friend ;) Attached are my Blueberry and NL 3 days behind you.

WOW!! Thank you very much for this information. I'll be changing the res this evening. Today marks day 15 so I will keep the ppm in the 300-500 to start. Thanks this helps. I also need to get some of that reflective tape to cover the wholes instead of using the net pots filled with hydrokorrels.

Hey no problem just wish I had someone to tell me str8 up, "Man, do this, do this when, do this, do this when..." instead you have to dig through 3 boards and thousands of threads later... and thats just if they are using a similar system, esp. nothing as exactly built, Cool Cab.

Yea, I tried the basket/korrel for 3 days when I started and then realized how important it is to keep light out of the water, no matter how little. HD for under $8 gets a huge amt of this tape.

Yea I just started my next batch of ph/ppm water (I make up 3 gallons at a time in a bucket and allow the water to sit out covered with a thin towel to allow chlor/etc to dissolve and water at room temp) tonight (days 11) at 365ppm; so tomorrow night when I refill the backup with this new batch I made it can cycle into the tank starting about 26-36 hours from now, allowing the water to properly adjust both ph'ed tap water with 365ppm nuts into my system and I will continue the 350 range until next step - you get the ideal.

Anything I can do man - just ask - Im in front of this d*mn thing for 14 hours a day so I'll be watch'n.

hey yo i dont wanna bad mouth you or disrespect dishnet but if hes got the nute burn then maybe he should flush with ph'd water for maybe 2 days and then bring ppm to 250. I read the whole journal and it seemed that you were going really aggressive at first. Start slow and if its too little your plants will let you know right away. Anyway i hope this helps if you experience any more burn with a 300-500 ppm range, ill still be around to watch the results!!

I agree, I wasn't setting out a error correction method but simply a great course from start to finish. I just figured since he mentioned re-do'n his tub he would flush for 2, the restart the appropriate course (veg time/ppm ratio).

Thanks Mr. Bitti, I didn't think to include any advise on a "fix" because I assumed he would know. But you know about assumtions... lol

Awe poop, so I changed the reservoir yesterday and I thought about flushing for a few days and then add the nutes. But I didn't do that :wall:

This is what I added to the 10 gal reservoir:
0.77 fl oz Grow
0.77 fl oz Micro
0.77 fl oz Bloom
0.38 fl oz Grandma Enggy's F-1 Fulvic Acid

As a result here were the numbers:
PPM 232
pH 5.6-5.8
Temp 81.8
RH 33%
Light is 16 in from the tallest plant

I checked everything when I got home this evening and the PPM dropped to 213 and they drank a gallon of water in less than 24 hours. So I added another gallon to the backup reservoir. My question is should I add some more nutes or keep it where it's at for a few more days? Today marks Day 15. Thanks for following :peace:

i wouldn't nute them anymore man they will be fine at 200 for a bit. i would get some solution with some nutes at around 200 ppm so it doesnt drop more and keep it tere for 3-5 days. they look real nice and dark green at the new growth so they should be fine for a bit. good luck man

Thanks man! I will be keeping the PPM around 200 for the next 3 to 5 days and then jump back on plan.

Sounds like a wonderful course of action TrueLove! Just ease them back into the required cycle layed out slowly. I would say only 100ppm per 24 hours.

Example refers ONLY to TrueLove's situation:
day 15-20 (200-220ppm),
day 21-24 (275-285),
day 25-28 (350-360),
day 29-31 (425-435),
day 32-35 (490-510)
day 36-39 (590-610)
day 40-43 (690-710)
day 44-47 (790-810) and stay here til you start to flower and change to HPS (if you havent already started).

Continue to increase nutes during flowering (100ppm per day) until you reach 1300-1400.

So within 5-7 days of FLOWERING you will be at the appropriate range of 1300-1400.

Hope this helps ~ DishNetGuy bongsmilie

Most new growers start out like this. You didn't burn 'em too bad. Like dishnetguy said, they'll bounce back for ya.

Good rule of thumb is that if your ppm goes down your plants are eating more than they're drinking, so the nutes aren't too strong. I think your plants are definitely on the rebound.

Looking forward to seeing good things here!
