A few quick questions...

1 - He doesn't do it all at once and do it when they aren't home or sleeping. Just get all the wood stuff preped and put the parts away and when they are gone or sleep take it up there and set it up.

2 - He can use a simple carbon filter setup for the smell.

And for the flowering I would do 2,700 for 12 hours?

Will it smell even if I put a filter to the outside?

There are a substantial amount of people who will tell you if you can break the 1/2 gram per watt barrier, you are doing very well.

better take care of the constant light leak from your tree house you've got to vent somehow (light leak), and hooking up a HID light in a tree in your PARENTS back yard, how could you possibly hope to cover that up? i mean summer's coming so running the lights all day in the sun won't work, even if u start w/cfls.. and the smell.. aww man i can't take it..

no , K is the light rating in Kalven

6,5ook = blue spec.
2,700k = red spec

lumes is per watt is what you want

ie
45w , 6,5ooK puts out 3,000 lumes
3000 lumes / 45 watts = 66.66 Lumes per watt

Lumes don't add up , the lux does

If you have 1 plant under a 15w , 6,5ook , 900 lume CFL it will only grow at the speed the light if can get. If you add a nother CFL of the same specs you will have a faster growth.

lumens - the intensity of the light
Kalven -

6,5ook - blue light - spring and early summer - gev time (light time , 24/0 - 18/6)
2,700k - redish orange light - mid / late fall - flowering time (light time , 12/12)

correct. You can have 10 45w 6,5ooK for veg and 10 42w , 2,7ooK for flowering if you wanted , the more the better , some people perfer to mix both the 6,5ooK and 2,7ooK for veg and flowering.

They say that you need a certin amount of lumes per square foot but lumes don't add up. Lux adds up. Add lights to see how your plants react and you'll see what I meen

dude your thinkin into it wayyyyy to much its great to know all these conversions but 4 a small scale 3 plant grow its not too important just as many as u can pump in there. basicly the more light the better as long as you dont overheat or use to much electicity your good
