Just wondering as im doing a closet grow just now and the ventilations isnt great ie no carbon filter just an oscillating fan and the doors opened now and then til i can afford a proper filter. My babies are at 4 weeks old from seed - ive been told to veg for 6-8 weeks before switching the lights and im just wondering if they wil start to pong whilst under veg. Can anyone confirm? Thx.

They should smell a bit now, the more buds they get they stronger the odor. I wouldn't go off and buy a carbon filter just yet. Maybe a good air freshiner. Just wait till your plants are about 12 inches or have 4 true nodes before you flower them. What lights you using?

I think that all strains are different. I do know that skunk and bubblegum start to smell around 4 weeks into veg for about a week then it lightens up. About 2 weeks into flowering it starts again and doesn't stop until I harvest.

I think it depends alot on the specific strain as well. I have had em be covered in trichs to the point of looking frosted and havee not had a smell problem but then i have had some that just reek when they have barely started flowering lol.

depends on the strain . there are some that almost have no odor during veg and there are some that will let you know they are there in about the third week of veg.

I had a whole crop of lemon kush, that didn't smell much at all, even during late flowering. But even just my AK-47 mother has an oder, not to mention when her kids are flowering. Carbon filter was definatly need for the AK's.

Wow so alot of differences there then... ive got two white widows that ive recently repotted and they seem to be growing good now as i had some root bound problems before but they are loving life now and growing at a good rate and i have some baby greenhouse big bang in there which have just sprouted. Check it out.
