So friday i started noticing some yellowing leaves combined with brown crispy spots. i didnt really think much of it cause i was gunna change out the res and re nute soon. (figured it was a deficiency cause i didnt add enough nutes last time or somethin)
Now day 15 of flowering, after changing the res and adding new nutes and water and stuff. its getting worse and spreading around. The PH was a bit high this morn when i checked it but i corrected it. lemme know what you think. it starts off as little brown spots!

any ideas?

well one thing is clear, you have N defficiencie, what kind of ferts do you use? you understand that you should use grow ferts for the first rez into flowering, thus givng the plant more N, u also have some younger leaves wiht some discoloration at the blades edges, that dont look cool at all, what means do u use to check PH? make sure your ferts have all the micro nutes in it...brb i will get u the link on how to diagnose plant problems this is a real good link

Im using fox farms hydro trio. checking PH with general hydroponics ph kit. when i changed out the res yesterday i added fresh nutes and as per the feeding sched i used grow big which is 3-2-6 and big bloom which is pretty much all micro nutes. im still only using half the dose (although i just added a bit more to the res to see if it helps) i dunno what to do, it seems like its getting worse. i just checked and adjusted PH again. its those brown spots i cant figure out. and the yellow tips. also on some of the developing nugs it looks like the hairs got burned. AHH! ill check out that link but i cant seem to find anything for my specific combo. some folks are saying flush with fresh water but i dont think its nute burn.

tiger bloom has micros in it, big bloom is only phosphorous and potassium, it dont matter if you have growbig tho, what is your PH at? for aero and hydro should be 5.5-6.0 max , i know you have heard of flushing but give it a go, give the plants fresh ph'd water for 24 hours...what do the roots look like? is your rez water warm? i have heard that when hairs turn prematurly that its a root issue, try to get a thermometer in the water need it under 75F...make sure after that fresh water use the grow big with big bloom at half strength,,,please check the roots and let me know if they are bone white, beige or brown and slimey

flushiung is not just for nute burn, in hydro and soil i highly recomend a monthly maintenance flush, you get major salt build up, also depending on what you have been giving them , it may be having trouble with nutrient uptake, give those roots a nice bath and lets see if she takes up the Nitrogen in the grow big ferts

also another tip, when the plant gets a bit larger in hydro/aero systems they take up a lot more water, leaving behind some nutrients in the solution, thus changing the strength of your solution, this can make the PH fluctuate, this is fact you need to be ontop of the PH day to day, im not joking these ups and down are no good i am convinced you have a PH problem locking out some nutrients...thats why when you said earlier you gave a fresh rez and nutes the problem spread, she wont take up nutes if the PH is out of range bro

i think you are exactly right. i should have flushed today. first thing in the morn. it seems like i am having to adjust the PH a lot. ill let them chill for a day or so in fresh phed water then add some grow big. thanks so much for the help man! it feels good to have someone on your sid!. heh.

its normal and dont let any1 else tell you otherwise, when plants go into flower they naturally lose leaves,
think about plants grown by nature who start losing leaves when the season nears autumn, in effect you are inducing this season by flowering

i know, but its the way the leaves are dying that throws me off.

Im flushing today. started with PHed water of about 6. it rose in the few hours i was gone. corrected it to 6 when i got home. checked it again 30 min later and it was a lil low. added a few drops of up. trying to really keep it in the same range while flushing. dont know why its so hard to keep it steady.

the roots are beige. with a few browner spots. not really slimey tho. the res is usually about 70. i had some issues earlier in the grow with res temps. hopefully the flush will help. the damaged leaves wont come back right? should i lose um?

I recommend adding some beneficial bacteria such as General Hydroponics Subculture or AN piranha/tarantula to create a healthier environment for your roots. Doing so will allow your plant to better absorb nutrients and lessen the chance of developing biological issues such as root rot.

Sirs......this looks just like the issue Uncle Ben posted about. Check out this thread https://www.rollitup.org/marijuana-plant-problems/158144-never-ending-abuse-phosphorous-bloom.html

Your girls just may be getting too much pk with the big bloom that you are adding for boosting bud. Hope this helps you out. UB's post really gave me alot of insight to a slight issue I always got right around the 3rd week of flowering. Good luck

You said you had you had brown roots... sounds like you might be developing root rot. Was your PH dropping or rising?

so now they are worse again. i dont get it. its definitely PH spotting but as far as i can tell my PH is good. the nutes are like 1/4 strength. i dont know what to do anymore. almost all the leaves are developing the copper colored spots!
