Mite Question.

So I have just detected spider mites by the signs of my leaves begining to get speckled spots. I went out today and got some treatment to start the process of getting rid of them (because I know its a process). I run my lights during the night time hours for temperature benefits right now and I am about 3 weeks into flowering. My question is, is it a good idea to treat them when the lights come on? Or does anyone think interupting the light cycle early to treat them is acceptable? (without further side affects)

I am generally a very patient person but I would like to get my hands on this problem a.s.a.p. Any advice is greatly appreciated, Thanks.

you don't really want to screw up your light schedule for mites... the plants expect their light when you normally give it to them, so you change it on them, and they could get a little shock.. Mites are easy to take care of if you get them early, sounds like you did.
What did you get to treat it? Neem oil?

Its an organic spray. I was contimplating neem oil but heard it can be harsh. Have you had an experience with ridding these pests? If so any advice would help. I really can't stand thinking about the things they are capable of.

I had to get rid of them for a friends plant, to put it simple, waited till they needed to be watered, then i washed the plants with a little soap and water, the leaves mainly, waited a few hours for them to dry, and applied neem oil to the leaves. just don't use too much, you don't want to sufficate the leaf in oil.. but a little coat under and a little bit on the top will do wonders
I also suggest you take all the plants out of your space, find a good indoor pest spray, and spray that shit down, pests don't like the air circulation of pest spray so they'll stay away from the box. Again, don't go crazy, just a good spray.

oh.. and just so you know..
they came back at one point while he was flowering... we used neem oil only, as we didn't want to stress the flowering with excessive water. They didn't come back again.. but what i'm saying is, they can come back.. and the usually do, so don't get frustrated if they do, just neem them leaves and you'll be fine.
