white widow damp smell

Hi there, first timer here so be nice!
I have 4 white widows with a couple of weeks to go before harvest .I am growing in soil and three out of the four are fine,one of them is suffering,while looking fine it is giving off a horrible damp smell and its driving me mad. All four plants have been treated exactly the same so i have no idea whats going wrong.What i do know is this smell is definitely not right. Does anyone have any ideas whats causing this and if it can be cured??? Id hate to lose a quarter of my crop !!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

could be bud rot
or just check your room cuz if u using soil water may be coming out the bottom of pots and making your grow space damp.

yep like he said! To much moisture. But also keep in mind the some strains of white widow can put off a very strong oder just before harvest. The smell can be sickening and may make your stomache upset.

Some folks may disagree with this next statement.......Overly strong plants can have at least 70% of leaves trimmed to cut the smell way down. Anymore than 70% and your plants will grow at a very slow rate. Each to his/her own! Works great for me!

thats what i thought, but i always make sure nothing gets spilled or leaks, and my rh has always been low, about 40% for the entire flowering period, do you guys still think its bud rot, and if so how can i check for it ??? Thanks again .

You can look closley at all the buds on that plant for dark or grey areas. It is okay to touch them so you can see all angles of the buds. Especially check out your main cola and your other thicker buds. The rot hides in the more dense ones right on the stalk. I had a main cloa on one plant my last grow that got rot, smelled funky and I did not find untill harvest. Here's pics. Good luck

that rot saddens me, i would probly smoke that if i didnt have any lol

thanks for the advice and pictures guys, i have just checked and i dont seem to have any apparent bud rot,no discoloration at all, but still this damp smell from one plant. maybe im being naive because this is the stickiest plant of the four and i hope to god, that this is just an unnaturally strong skunk smell. Seems a bit strange though as the other plants have this lovely sweet smell.

Let things dry out a bit. Maybe move to another room with a small fan blowing across the plant to help dry up any moisture. Keep in mind that white widow has a strong oder of it's own. Also depending on who you purchased seeds from can make a difference as well.

Example: I purchased my white widow seeds from two sources. One from Sensi-seeds, and the other from Dutch passion.
The seeds from Sensi-Seeds has a strong pugnet smell.....And the seeds from Dutch Passion have sweet smell almost like blueberry.
