What is a good soil that can be bought for a descent price that has good ph, and quality for gowing in? thanks!

get some fox farm ocean forest. i started out with some organic soil i bought at walmart and it almost killed my plants. i just transplanted them into the ffoc and they are doing 100x better now.
i bought the big bag for 20 bux and they have a smaller bag for 10. its well worth the money

I use 67% Promix and 33% Perlite.

Pro mix organic soil is about $8 a bag and is the best I've found but I haven't tried the high dollar fox farms stuff($20 - $25 a bag). I was more than happy with pro mix.

Regular pro mix is $1 or $2 cheaper, I did get better results with the organic.

Here is there website you can see if anyone close sells it, mostly your better greenhouses carry it.

Some people used to have good results with something from walmart but you had to get a certain color bag and I forget all the details, you might read up and see ifyou can find anything.

The pro mix gets my vote.

ive never seen a bag of soil for 2-3 buxs..

WalMart sells a 40 lbs. bag of Hyponex potting soil for like $1.98 plus tax.

I am not saying I would trust it but ultra cheap potting soil can be found.

I would be sure to check the pH level if I were going to try something like that.

a lot of stores in my area only care grow stuff in the summer, so in the fall stock up at sale price.
