Hey guys,
So a user recently posted a link to site, http://www.dodoglass.com, that offered very low prices on glass pieces (compared to most head shops). I looked through the website a bit, and when I read the "about us" section, there were some similarities to Northwest Glass Art (http://www.northwestglassart.com).
Northwest glass's disclaimer:
"You need to be at least 18 year's old (21 in some area's) to purchase tobacco products"
Dodo glass's disclaimer:
"All Products Intended and Sold For Legal Purposes to over 18 year's old (21 in some area's) Only!"
Northwest glass's return policy:
"Northwestglassart.com stands by all of our products."
Dodo glass's return policy:
"DodoGlass stands by all of our products."
It's kind of obvious its just another Northwest glass scam site. Even their layouts are nearly identical. I e-mailed Dodo Glass's customer service and asked whether they were linked to Northwest Glass Art, to which he replied "No Sir we are not"... right .
So why's it such a big deal, well for those who don't know, Northwest Glass Art selectively scams people. Just try typing "Northwest Glass Art scam" in Google and you'll see tons of results from message board posts of users who never received their stuff. Not to mention they have an "F" rating with the BBB and several complaints filed against them (http://www.bbb.org/western-washington/business-reviews/pipes-and-smokers-articles/northwest-glass-art-in-lynnwood-wa-41001526).
Buyer beware, do a few quick searches on Google before ordering anything online. I wish users who post links to headshops/glass blowers would actually say whether they've actually had any experience ordering from the shop.
