I am using Mad Farmer Get down to lower my PH. It currently comes out at 8PH and after adding NUts it goes down to about 7PH. But, I have to add Table spoon after table spoon after table spoon to get it down a 1/2 point. Should I just keep adding this till I get it down to my desired PH? Or can I harm my plants by addind too much of this Chemical? It seriously takes like 5-10 tbls to get it down to like 6.5.

If your using Gen Hydro Ph up/down I recommend you switch to AN or Europonics Gen Hyd I have heard tons of people say they have to use a shitload to make any adjustment. A few drops of my europonics ph down in 3 gallons of water drops my ph significantly more than a half point. Maybe your water supplier puts a ph buffer in the water???

I see. I am using Mad farmer "Get down" but my Ebb and flow Tanks are 40 gallon each. are there any stronger PH down Solutions out there? Cause I have to put a ton of solution in my tanks.

My tap water is also 8, and I've found that white vinegar works great for me and it only takes about a half cap full per gallon.

But after I started using molasses I didn't have to use the vinegar anymore because the molasses brings the PH down on its own very well.

This is for soil growing of course.

mine is hydro, in clay pellets. Can I try this? Or do you have other alternative trick to lower my damn PH . I am using GH BLoom, Mirco, Grow for nuts and afer affind my nuts to my 8PH tap water, it got it down to about 6.9-7.3. I have heard someone makes Nuts just for hard situtations like mine.

Anyone heard anything on these Hardwater nuts? Thanks.

I don't know about the vinegar in your res, I don't see why not but you might want to ask someone with more experience in hydro. But the molasses is a definate no no in hydro setups.

I believe that your PH in hydo should be somewhere in the 5.8 - 6 range if I'm not mistaken.

Are you using a meter or liquid drops to check your PH?

I have a ph, ec, ppm meter. Its just that my damn tap water PH is to high right out of the gate. I hope we can resolve this some how I am just not sure of how right this moment.

My ph water straight from the tap is 6.5 about using the liquid tester. << Am I suppost to test the water after letting it sit for 24hrs? Or can I use it as it is? Btw What should the temp be when feeding?

Thank you In Advance
