Being a gang member isn't a crime so they can join whenever they want as long as they have a clean record. And of course standards have to be dropped during a war, numbers make all the difference.

Did I say rapist, murderer, no..so please don't put words in my mouth..and what you said was true about courts in the past.. but the fact that known drug users are fighting in the worlds largest place for heroin seems a tad ludacris... and gang members now are not like then.. using illegals, ms13 members... just seems like a bad idea, these aren't garden raiders or doorbell ringers they're mostly hard core with their own agendas..... but hey, its your army... we prefer a higher standard...
I guess the new west point class pic will have guys with tattoos up there necks and on their faces...

They are still sacrificing lives for us(which even our own country shouldnt be doing) so there is no room to make fun of them, we are the douchbags not them.

I did not say they weren’t but then again they are in reality sacrificing for themselves.

Terrorism is not strictly an American problem. Any nation can be targeted by terrorists and many nations know that it is best to take preemptive action rather than retaliatory action.

That saves the lives of innocent citizens of your nation and that is one of the jobs of governments, to provide a safe living environment for its citizenry.

What do you guys expect from FOX NEWS, they don't speak for Americans, they speak for themselves, they should be on a list as a terrorist threat.

Actually FOX speaks for many Americans ... just not for liberal Americans.

That is why stations like CNN and PMSNBC can exist.

it's impossible use drugs while serving and not getting caught, i was tested before bootcamp. Before a unit deploys they are all tested for illegal substances. My friends are tested anywhere from 5-12 time a year and ms13 is not serving, those guys are on a federal level with the US and would never be allowed to join. You don't know anything about how my country operates and it seems to me that your trying to put our troops down. branches don't even allow you to join if you have tatoos on your arms, neck, face, or legs, with a few minor exemptions.

Hi miss...... I guess when all is said and done we're proud and feel for our perspective forces.... these sort of back and forth can be cathartic.... and I do have the utmost respect for my US friends.... not so much for the governing people in either place....

To the troops.... stay safe..no matter what country you're fighting for....

You know why we didn't build a huge military.. because until we decided to help the US we were peace keepers and had no enemies...

You write as if the military history of Canada began when Canada became peacekeepers. Have you ever been educated in the history of the Canadian military?

The First Special Forces Brigade, the military unit where the U.S. Army’s Green Berets later stemmed from, was a Brigade made up of half Americans and half Canadians. In WWII the Canadian military was considered to be the very highest trained armies in the world. If Canada never had any enemies previous to becoming peacekeepers why did they have the highest trained military in the entire world in the 40’s?

You needn’t bother to reply saying it was the smart reaction to the threat of worldwide fascism because you do not train an entire military to a razor’s edge in a short period of time. It takes years and years so for Canada to have such a highly trained military when they did they had to have been in training for years before the outbreak of hostilities in Europe.

Gang Activity in the U.S. Military

The Defense Criminal Investigative Service reported in 2006 that gang members, particularly MS-13 members, are increasing their presence on or near US ...

Don't be obtuse... of course we had enemies... but in later years we've maintained a peaceful repore with most of the world......... and because of the respect for our army we could function in any area of the world as peace keeper and not be considered antagonists...

And I doubt that the US could handle any armed force in the world right now...
China & Russia could squash the US now....

Don’t sell the U.S. military or the members of the U.S. military short. Since WWII the U.S. has relied heavily on technology to overcome numbers and they have done it well.

My cousin is a retired Air Force fighter pilot and he flew in the first gulf war and in both Iraq and Afghanistan in the current gulf war. U.S. technology is highly advanced and with it a much smaller number of members of the military can beat a much larger force in a straight up fight. Where the U.S. has suffered all along is in guerrilla type combat.

In Korea the 1st Marine Divison, with roughly 12,500 men, along with a small number of U.S. Army stragglers from battered beaten Army divisions, were surrounded at the Chosin Reservoir by over 300,000 Red Chinese.

There were 22 Red Chinese Divisions surrounding a single U.S. Marine Division and a small number of U.S. Army stragglers. When the dust settled 7 entire Red Chinese Divisions were wiped out, that is some 115,000 Red Chinese troops, and a number more Red Chinese Divisions had a serious hurt put on them and then the 1st Marine Division, along with the Army stragglers, orderly marched their way South to the coast and got under the protection of the big guns of the Navy.

What can be described or defined as being modern U.S. military history is replete with examples of overcoming tremendous odds. Unfortunately due to politicians becoming more and more in control of the U.S. military operations horrible decisions have been made that have resulted in what then appeared to have been losses and it has given the inaccurate image of the U.S. military not being as powerful as it actually is and that it has not been for some time now.

It was written that enemies did not exist prior to Canada being involved in peacekeeping duties. I did not make that up.

Maybe it was only a weak attempt to rewrite history and to misrepresent things so then an attempt could be made to make things now to appear to be the way you desire them to be. Intellectual honesty is important you know. You may wish to attempt it sometime.

Look both armies have been fighting a long battle..there both tried and either could take on a fresh army... you know as well as I do that reservists in their 40-50's are being used.. some are on third and fourth rotations... so we're to be ridiculed for saying we're tired.. for speaking the truth.. thumping ones chest and being ashamed to admit that the soldiers are tired sounds delusional... and arrogant... so you never get tired.. I'm happy for you..so I guess theres no need of UN help...
In Canada.. we like to tell it like it is..

and I know the US army is more superior.. the way your gov. pisses off the world they better be because friends your gov. hasn't been making in the past few years... and that includes your allies..(Do you remember that words meaning)... we're your allies, not your punching bag ......

The UN is a worthless criminal debating society and nothing more. It is more a part of the world’s problems that it is a solution.

Judging by the messages written by people who are evidently Canadian I would have to say that it appears that in Canada people tell it like it ‘ain’t.’

That is the typical liberal point of view that it is actually funny. No nation on the planet has provided and performed as much humanitarian aid and support or has come to the rescue of nations in distress as the U.S. has but yet people seem to need to believe that the U.S. is a horrible beast. Every time there is some major natural disaster or fighting going on the world looks to the U.S. to handle it or at the very least to lead the way and to do most of what is needed to be done. The thanks Lady Liberty gets is to be hated and reviled and detested and to have people like you totally ignore all that the U.S. has done that has helped the entire world so very much and only mention a few things that are not the most spectacular things the U.S. has ever done and even then normally when someone brings them up they embellish them to make them appear to be larger than life just to add insult to injury out or hate or site or jealousy.

we're your allies, not your punching bag ......

Does that explain why our Canadian allies, meaning not only the Canadian government but also the Canadian citizenry, use the U.S. for a punching bag? I am a member of several sites like this and also several other types of sites and on them I spend a good bit of time in the political forums and a single day never passes where a Canadian or a number of Canadians rip and shred the U.S. Is that what allies do to each other? If so then why should the U.S., or U.S. news services, have an equal right to do the same towards Canada?

Some Canucks make poor taste remarks that's one thing.. this is all about the 2nd biggest news outlet.. show me one of our news or any TV station that has a program ridiculing you or your troops..
You keep kicking a dog and it'll bite back..

I'm reading a Nelson Demille book "up country" its about a military CID.. an apropo paragraph I just read.. Page 671 - 672
Then he looked at us, American..? i replied "Canadian" which I'd been taught is good cover for Americans in certain parts of the world where Americans aren't fully appreciated, " thank god for Canada"..
Why does the state dept. and most travel agents advise you guys to pretend to be Canadian.....

Last point.. yes your military is superior, well duh... you're 10x plus our size and your military spending equals our whole budget.. yet we can fight at your level in Afghanistan (David Patreas )(sp).. we punch way above our weight class...

I'm not here to denigrate your troops.. I'm like you in the respect for what they do(both sides).. I, like you are proud of our military... so please respect and appreciate our help as we would yours.....
When people die to help you do you really feel need to insult them to make yourselves feel good...

One does not elevate their standing by denigrating others... especially if they'll die to help you.....

Anyway.. I'm off to have fun with my American friends..

Have a good day ALL... The End.. :peace:
