hey guys and gals.could someone kindly fill me in on what protects us here on riu from law enforcement from any country pretending to be a grower and suss out and gain the trust of someone from their own jurisdiction cos i see a lot of people give their town,city,state under the join date.just curious

well, here where i live, it is a medical usage, and growage, second grow and i think i am under law lawful guidline, because i am learning......wait till my next grow, and then the next!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Barney Fife would have to have a lot of time on his hands. First, there are questions of jurisdiction. If you reside in the U.S. the local LEO has absolutely no recourse if he needs information on individual users of this forum. Nor does he have the funding or legal authority to even pursue an international case.

If Deputy Fife were to compile enough intelligence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that you are maintaining a grow op, he still has to find you. Most of us are anonymous and this ain't Facebook.

In all likelihood, Deputy Fife simply does not have the time to go on a fishing expedition here. If the good Deputy has a hard-on for you personally and is determined to get you, he will. He's far more likely to bust you by putting the squeeze on an informant who heard about your grow from someone you told in the real world.

well state level ok, fed level, its not, but they say med users no problem....cops got bigger fish to fry..for the street cop, yes, easy bust for them, and thats why they don't want it legal, how easy is it to randomly pull young kids over that don,t have weed on them..............you see...

As is mentioned in another answer, some of us live in states where we can obtain recommendations from our doctors for medicinal use. I cannot think of any efficient way for LE to figure out who is who. They would be wasting funds to track in the first place, but it would be egregious should they raid someones legal grow. I figure they should have better things to do, like actually go and catch CRIMINALS (rapists, burglars, car thieves...).

Loose lips sink ships. I wouldn't go around telling people you grow, I also wouldn't share personal information with members from the site. Seems that something that requires so little effort seems to be a huge problem for people (Keeping their mouths shut)
